"So where do we go next?" I asked Liam as we sat around the couch eating take out Chinese since Louis was in charge of dinner tonight. I was talking in regards to Madison and that whole situation I seemed to have ultimately screwed up.
"You have to get back on good terms with her." Liam respond taking his chops sticks and eating some of the noodles while flipping through the channels to find something decent to watch.
"Mate, you basically went and accused her of being something she's not. You need to make it right with her because she is the only lead we have right now." Louis chimed still looking at the screen as we ate our food. "Plus you also broke her heart, so you need to make it up to her somehow."
"I just don't even know what to do or say." I told them putting down the orange chicken box to look at Liam as he finally settled on watching an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians which we all secretly liked even though we would never admit it to anyone.
"Heres an idea, why don't you apologize to her? Than you can go from there, girls can be fragile Harry and even though you didn't feel the same way Madison did, you really hurt her because she really liked you."Liam explained to me as I took in a sigh by running a hand through my hair.
"Your right, I'm going to go over there and apologize." I started, standing up from the couch as I attracted the boys attention. Asher sat in his swing quietly watching even though he probably had no clue as to what was going on. "I was in the wrong and I want Madison to know I am sorry about everything, even for hurting her."
"That's it mate! You go over there!" Liam cheered me on giving the courage to walk out that door and up to floor six where Madison resided. For me to get any help in finding Valerie/ K I needed Madison to help me.
"Okay I'll be right back." I told them heading for the door and straight for the elevator. I was determined and was hoping that Madison would be home. It was a school night and I doubted she would be out partying since she had told me how important her education was to her.
Knocking on her door I waited for her footsteps to accompany her behind the door and it was long after before I heard that. The knob twisting as I became a little nervous to be standing here again. The last time I was here I had yelled at her and accused her of being a liar when in all reality she wasn't, she didn't lie about anything, at least of what I know.
"You again?" Madison rolled her eyes when she saw me about to slam the door in my face until I caught the door. She was in a pair of knee high white socks with a big grey oversized football t-shirt, her hair tied into a ponytail.
"Wait, just hear me out on this." I told her as she flipped her long golden ponytail to cascade down her back, folding her arms and shifting her weight to one side whole she leaned up against the door frame.
"Fine." She said blinking and waiting for me to continue what I had to say.
"I'm sorry." I started looking at her but seeing she wasn't really changing her attitude about me with that alone. "I came up here the last time and I was out of line. I shouldn't have yelled at you like I did when you haven't done anything wrong. I let my anger get the best of me and I am truly sorry about it."
Her arms unfolded and icy eyes softening from putting this all out on the table for her to hear, "I also am sorry for hurting you. I was an asshole and played games with a lot of girls and I'm sorry you got caught up in that. I should have saw your feelings and considered them but I didn't because I was an i***t. I don't know how else I can apologize to you but I want to make it up to you."
"Wow..." Madison trailed looking down at the floor shocked at my apology. I wanted her to know I was truly sorry for the way I acted and for causing her pain from the past.
"Thank you for that. I mean it, it means a lot for you coming back here and saying that to me. I am sorry to, for getting involved in something I shouldn't have. When she told me what she needed me to do I never knew it would all come back to me like this." Madison rambled thinking back to the past choices she had made with K, if that was even her name.
"What did your friend tell you she wanted?" I asked Madison as she gazed back up at me. Sighing she hesitated to say a word as if she were procrastinating on saying anything at all.
"I'm not supposed to say anything, I promised her. She was just so afraid and stressed about the whole thing and she didn't want to be seen coming back here so she asked me if I would drop him off for her." Madison said not going into much detail, it was like I was hearing the same things over and over again with no new information.
"Why was she afraid?" I asked Madison who was not wanting to talk about any of this.
"I don't know, she didn't ever say. All I know was that she was dealing with a s**t show she called her life and this was just something else to add onto it. She wasn't in a good place when I saw her last." Madison shook her head at the memory she imagined in her head.
"When was the last time you saw her?" I questioned puzzled if she was still in the city or not. If K was in the city it would make things a whole lot easier, no travel or anything needed.
"The day I dropped off the baby. I haven't heard from her sense, I've tried to contact her to see if she's okay but her phone was disconnected." Madison opened up about the girl I was so desperately trying to seek.
"Please Madison tell me who she is. I will do anything for just her name." I begged Madison going that if she saw me desperate enough she would give in and tell me who the girl was.I knew Madison didn't want to break her trust with her friend but this was important that I knew Asher's mum. I had more unanswered questions than answered and Madison played a vital role in helping me answer my many questions.
"Harry I can't, she would never speak to me again. She would hate me if I told you." Madison stressed out trying to get me to understand what that would mean for her relationship with her friend and her.
"Madison I need to know who she is, I have so many questions to ask her." I confessed as I saw Madison give me eyes of pity.
"I'm sorry Harry I can't. She told me specifically that I wasn't allowed to saw a word."
"Can you at least answer me this question?" I started as she nodded for me to continue, "Is her name Valerie?"
"I..." Madison hesitated before speaking again, trying to collect her thoughts on how to answer my questions. "One of them yes."
"What does that mean?" I was puzzled by Madison's answer, did this girl possibly have more than one name?
"I really can't say, I'm sorry I want to help you." Madison told me stressed from the pressure being put on her about this entire situation.
"At least think about it would you?" I wanted Madison to put deeper though into this and maybe if she did she would change her mind about helping me put this mystery to an end.
"Yeah.." She nodded as I was about to leave back to my own apartment, turning my back and giving her a goodbye she woke out once I turned away to leave.
"If its any consolation, she said she was so sorry. She just had no where else to turn." I kept walking taking the elevator down to my apartment.
"Sweet Jesus!" I cursed upon coming into the apartment to a unruly smell of fesses. Changing my gaze to look at Asher who was kicking around in his swing while Liam and Louis had moved to the other side the living room.
"Oh good you're back! I think the baby s**t his pants and it really stinks mate, you need to take care of that before I gag to death." Louis informed with his shirt over his nose, Liam following suit.
"Oh my hell!" I shook my head not wanting to deal with the explosion it smelt like in Asher's diaper. Picking him up and holding him away from my body I held my breath as I found my way into my bedroom, laying him down on the changing table.
"What did you eat little man?" I asked Asher but he didn't seem to pay much mind to my talking.
Coughing when I saw what unholy mess that sat in his diaper my eyes began to water from the stink alone that became more concentrated. Wanting to vomit right there and then I did my best to refrain. Seeing Asher become uncomfortable from my pacing I finally went in and began to clean up the mess he had made. Making sure to put on extra baby power I slipped on a new diaper once everything was nice and clean once again, taking the old diaper and throwing it into the trash made for diapers; the smell finally disappearing.
"I think that was the nastiest thing I have ever seen you do Ash." I told the baby squirting a s**t load of hand sanitizer into my hands and rubbing it up to my elbows. Picking him up once again and watching him smile at me I shook my head with a little smile back.
note// Harry is finally learning to be a decent person and to say sorry! Sorry about this being late I've been working all day! Question, what do you think of Madison?:)
