"Harry why aren't you taking Asher out trick or treating? It's his first Halloween with you!" My mum nagged as I unbuckled and picked him up. Eleanor had bought him a Dalmatian puppy costume that she insisted I dress him in before I took him to my parents house. My parents had agreed to take Asher for the night while the boys and Eleanor and I went out. It was the first night I had away from the baby and I wasn't going to lie, I was excited to go out. I had gone from going out most nights to going out once in a blue moon which happened to be tonight. "He doesn't even know what that is, and trust me he's not missing out much." I told my mum kissing Asher's head as he looked around the room curious about his new setting. "So what are the plans for tonight than?" My mum asked me as I held Asher in one arm. "The boys and I are going out with Len. We aren't sure what we are doing yet. We are still deciding on a party or haunted house." I said looking down at Asher who had his hands fastened to my t-shirt. I knew this would be a little tricky since Asher was still warming up to my parents. "Just please be safe! And also could you not hook up? Although Eleanor is going to be with you so I trust her to keep you all in line." My mum nodded looking over at my father who sat slouched in his lazy boy chair watching football. "I'm not who I was, you won't have to worry about police calls this year." I winked at her as she shook her head at the memory of Halloweens past. My mum often worries about Halloween since I had a history with the holiday ever since I was a freshman in high school. "I have Asher's schedule in the bag and if you have any questions you can call me, but try not to have any questions." I smirked at her seeing her roll her eyes at me with a slanted smile. "Harry you know I've raised two babies, I think I know what am doing." My mum responded while I then looked at Asher who still held tight to my t-shirt. "Alright little guy, daddy's gotta go, okay?" I looked down at him to see he was unbothered even though that would change in a blink of an eye. "Have fun with Nan okay?" Pulling him away from my body I felt his fingers slowly lose their grip. His face contorting into that of discomfort when his little hands were pulled away from my shirt. Handing him to my mum he began to wail out for me once I had let go. "He will be just fine." My mum assured me as she held the wiggling baby that only wished to be back in my arms. "I love you! I'll be back I promise!" I came back in kissing his cheek for the last time before leaving him with my parents. + "So what are we deciding on?" Louis asked finishing up his costume. We were all doing a group theme that Eleanor begged to pick out which happened to be hippies. "I say we hit up the haunted house!" Eleanor said from the backseat while Liam drove through the city. The lights were all about as parties raged all throughout the night. Little kids running around in their costumes trying to get cast from others. "What are we all thinking? Haunted house?" Liam asked among the group waiting for a unanimous answer. "Yeah, I heard Blood Manor was good!" Louis said putting on a few beaded necklaces to finish off his look. "Blood Manor it is than! I hope you brought an extra pair of panties Len, Blood Manor is supposed to be the scariest in the city." Liam warned as I looked back at her expression which happened to be confident. "Trust me, my real life is scarier than any haunted house. If I can handle everyday this house will be a slice of cake." Eleanor said bringing her brunette wig that was down to her butt over her shoulder. Braiding the long length hair out of boredom. "Okay Ellie, we'll just have to wait and see now won't we?" Louis laughed nudging her in the back seat once he was done fiddling with his costume. "I swear to god Louis call me that one more time and I will slap a b***h!" Eleanor told him darting her eyes to the boy who wore a pair of circle shades in the dark of the car. "Relocate your chill Len." Louis said with a peace sign and hippy accent just as we pulled up to the haunted house. Getting into the line that felt like we waited in forever talking over past Halloween memories we finally reached our turn. Getting ushered in with another group we all walked inside. "Still don't think this is scary?" Liam asked Eleanor as she grasped onto my hand upon entry. "Nope. Still not scared." She denied even though I knew by the way she grabbed onto my hand she was afraid of the atmosphere alone. "Here we go lads!" Louis said as we were granted entry with another group. Our feet moving even though Len was stalling a little, she was hesitant on moving with the group. "I've got you." I reassured her pulling her up towards the group so we were singled out. Her little hand trembling when she let out a loud scream just like the others when a jump scare jumped out from the side. A man in a mask that blacked out his eyes with fake blood dripping down him. "It's not real... It's not real..." Eleanor chanted to herself, internally trying to calm herself from how frightened she was. "I've got you Len." I told her once again as we walked through the intensely real looking house. Occasionally screaming out when a disturbing scene jumped out at us or randomly appeared from behind or any angle really. "I think I just wet myself!" Eleanor whispered to me just as another man jumped out with a chainsaw causing Len to literally jump into my arms from the fright. Holding her in my arms she hid her face into my neck while I walked close with the group. Once the house had come to its end I let her down as we walked outside back to the parking lot. "My life is scarier then any haunted house!" Louis mocked Eleanor who punched him in the arm causing Louis to touch his arm where she punched. "Ow your hurting me! Stop!" He mocked pretending to be a girl as he ran away from Len even though she followed him trying to throw playful punches as he mocked her. "I wasn't scared!" Eleanor denied once we all piled into the car. "Oh so that's why you cut Harry's hand circulation off, because you weren't scared." Liam teased her as he then went on to laugh about her jumping into my arms. "Okay can we talk about something else, like where is Asher?" Eleanor was desperate to change the topic. She no longer wanted a topic to be about her and thought of something else to talk about. "He's at my parents house.. Speaking of them.." I went into the glove box to grab my phone where I pressed the home button to see 5 missed calls from my mum. Panic surfing through me when I saw how many missed calls had piled on top of each other. We had maybe been gone three hours and I had already had this many missed calls. It made me worried for Asher. "What's going on?" Liam asked as I immediately went into calling my mum. Waiting for her to answer I nervously picked at my costume. "There you are!" My mum said from the other side of the line. I could hear Asher crying faintly in the background as soon as she answered. "Is everything okay?" I inquired not feeling any better hearing my baby in distress. "I know I told you he could stay the night Harry but he hasn't stopped crying since you left. I've tried everything and he just won't have it." My mum explained as my heart ached for my little boy who was under stress from me leaving. I was starting to understand that he had major separation anxiety which I needed to ask Kasey about next time we went in. Although I had missed his 3 month check up and would have to wait a week until our next rescheduled appointment. "I'll be there in 10 minutes, we are just a few blocks away." I told my mum who was audibly tired from Asher's screaming. This all made me feel extremely guilty that I went out with the boys and Len even though we had a great time. Not before too long Liam pulled up to my parents house where I quickly rushed to the door. Twisting the knob and pressing it open to hear Asher screaming at the top of his lungs, my mum trying to soothe him by bouncing. "I'm sorry." I apologized to my mum as I came in and walked towards her as she placed Asher into my arms. "Harry, he's got major separation anxiety. That needs to be looked at hun." My mum suggested as I took Asher and rocked him hushing him down. "I'm here... I'm not leaving you buddy. I'm never leaving you. Shhhh it's okay." I soothed letting him take in my face as he stopped his little tears from falling. Finally calming down as I laid him down in my arms rocking him back and forth to get him to see I was with him now. Rubbing his eye once he I had soothed him he began to yawn and nuzzle himself into my shirt. He must have been tired from crying for 3 hours straight. "Isn't separation anxiety normal for babies?" I wanted to know arching a brow at my mum. "Yes but he literally cried for three hours love. Next time you go in for a check up ask the doctor about it." My mum suggested as I looked down at him to see he was cuddled up into my arms. I didn't want to have to do this but he needed to be strapped into his car seat so we could head home and put him in bed. "I'm sorry about tonight, I owe you and dad one." I said bending down to my knees to lay Asher into his car seat. Not liking the separation once again he reached out for me to hold him as I buckled him in. "I love you!" My mum waved once I had hugged her and she said her goodbyes to her upset grandson. Running out the back door opened as Louis took the car seat and began to buckle it in as I ran around to the front seat. "Hey! Hey! Hey!" Louis said to Asher as he cried for me to comfort him. I didn't know what was up with him today, he usually wasn't so fussy and for the most part was happy unless he needed something. "It's a hard life I know it." Eleanor cooed to him as I looked at her put her hand inside the car seat doing what she could to soothe him while I couldn't. "Daddy isn't going anywhere. He isn't. I know." She talked to Asher who was tired yelling but more calm than before, whatever Len was doing was working. "Daddy is right there baby, he's not going anywhere little guy." Len told the baby who was lessening his cries as she moved her kept her hand with Asher. "Thanks Len." I said to her as we pulled up to Eleanor's apartment. "No problem, I'll text you tomorrow." She responded waving to us whole she ran up to her apartment complex and hurried inside. It didn't take long for us to get home, carrying the baby carrier into the house I unbuckle Asher and went into my bedroom where I laid in my bed falling asleep with him positioning himself comfortably in my chest. Hands grasping my shirt I could feel his little body against me as we both slept in our Halloween costumes, too tired to even take them off. Knocked completely out I held Asher close to me while he held tight onto me. note// Aw Len and Harry are cute! Double update maybe? Predictions?:)
