Niky “Daddy!” I squealed as I launched myself into his arms. He hugged me briefly before getting a scowl on his face. You know, the one that all dads are famous for. “What are you three doing here?” Dad asked while glaring at Justin and Dylan. “Um, nothing, Dad.” I tried to lie. “Really? Then what is this?” He asked, holding up the skeleton key. I gulped, I didn’t know how to tell him the truth, but I couldn’t lie either. I couldn’t think of any logical reason that I would be using the key to break into the archives room, and by the look on his face, my Dad knew it too. “That’s it. You three had better follow me.” My Dad huffed. I knew he was disappointed and hated that I was the reason for it. We hung our heads in shame and followed him.
