Edith was daydreaming about him the whole time she was riding the kalesa. She did not notice that she was already in front of her house when the kutsero asks her hand to help her go down.
"Muchas gracias señor." She told him and rushed to go to the library. She did not want anybody to see her yet. She wanted to draw him as soon as possible so she would be able to capture his face as accurately as she can remember.
As soon as she entered the library Trish ran to her. "How was your shopping go?" Trish asked.
"Oh, just fantastic. Amazing. The best." She answered and without blinking started walking towards her drawing desk where her art materials are stored.
She took a paper out of the drawer and pulled a pen and ink from the other drawer. She then started to draw his face from the outline of his jaws which was rounded and a little pointed in the chin. He had that round nose with a thick eyebrow. His eyes complimented his dark hair which was almost as dark as the bark of an aged tree.
She tried to picture how he smiled with those thin, soft lips. He was perfect in every way. She was done in just a few minutes. She took a break and looked at her drawing. When she was satisfied, she smiled and kept it in her drawer. But before she could store it Trish grabbed it from her hand.
"Trish give that back!" She told her hermanita. "Or what Hermana? Ohhhh who is this handsome man?" Trish waved the paper at her face. She wanted to get it back but was afraid to grab it. It might tear up if she puts force.
"He is no one. I met him earlier in town. I just want to draw him. Now give it back." Edith answered her.
"You seem different Hermana. I don't believe you. He seems important to you." Trish smiled at her still holding the drawing.
"Trish, I am warning you to stop playing already. You are too old for silly games." She warned her.
"I think, I will hold onto this. Might be useful later on. Thanks, Hermana. Bye, I am going back to my studies now." She was still holding it while swaying her hips walking to Prof. Brienne their private tutor. Since her Hermana Alex, she was in charge of teaching them. She became a family to them already. She was always there on every occasion they celebrate. She was also the mate of one of their pack members so there's that.
Edith let's go of the drawing for now. She would be able to get it back once Trish loses interest in it. She always did that.
"Hey Trish, don't crumple that one. I will let you win in training tomorrow if you keep that without any marks or crumple. Deal?" Over the years she had been observing her sibling and they could not help when a bet or a deal is offered to them.
"See, I am right. This is important to you. You cannot resist getting this back already. You have a deal Hermana." She smiled from ear to ear when she stretched her hand to shake on it. Edith shook her hand and went out of the library. She needed to talk to Hermana.

"Hermana are you in there?" She asks as she knocks on her office door. She hears someone talking on the other side of the door.
"Come in Edith." She hears Hermana acknowledge her.
She opens the door and walks in towards the sofa. Her usual spot when she is there in her office. A man was sitting in one of the chairs. She doesn't know him, but she feels she knows him. She smiles towards him. "Buenas dias señor." She greeted him.
"Buenas dias señora. Alpha Alex thank you for hearing me out. I will go now. I will give you updates on my request." He then stood up, grabbed his hat, and walked out.
"So, what brings you here hermanita? I thought you went shopping in town." Alex really knew everything going on in this pack. Even her little stroll was reported to her.
"Yeah, I went back early since I found what I was looking for. More importantly, I think I found my mate." She explained to her sister.
"You what? Where is he from? Did you get his name? address?" Alex asked her question after question.
"Okay calm down. I saw him in the town plaza. More like bump into him actually. He was very polite actually but weird as well. His name is Patricio. I did not get his address though. I hurriedly went back here before we can talk some more. And oh, he also asks me for some snacks. Imagine? After that, he also wanted to accompany me back here. Which I both turned down." Edith was rumbling and Alex was nodding at everything she was saying.
"So, let me get this straight, you found him after two years and all you got from him is his name? Why did you turn down his offer? Are you alright? Is something bothering you?" Alex asked a lot of questions again. She was always this way eager to know the answers and wants it immediately.
"Hermana slow down. Yes, I only got his name. I turned it down because I was unsure if he really is my mate. My wolf acknowledges him as our mate but when he kissed my hands there was no spark at all. He also acted weird like he wasn't of this time. He addresses me as lady Edith. Like whom uses that anymore?" Edith explained her side. She hoped Alex would be able to shed some light on her trouble.
"First of all, sparks can be felt if you are both a wolf or a human. If you did not have any spark coming from his touch, there might be something blocking that. Let's ask the elders about this. As to how he addresses you, maybe he was taught that way. Don't overthink those things hermanita." As always, Hermana had answers to her questions. Sometimes she wondered how her Hermana became so wise. Between the three of them, she was the smartest but right now she doubts that Alex had been able to advise her more than she advised her these days.
"Do you really think the elders would be able to answer us?" She was doubtful as there were rare instances of their pack having human mates. And they haven't encountered other types of shifters or creatures since the battle in the woods.
Is he human? Or is he part of those living in the woods? I hope he is just human. That would be easier for both.
"Edith, are you coming, or you want to continue daydreaming?" Alex asked her sister snapping her out of her thoughts.
"Right, I am coming."
