I watched Aden and Reggie leave with the twins. I would have to thank Reggie later. That was incredibly kind. Then again, he was a kind man, and this was not out of the ordinary for him. Until now, he has been the only male role model in Alex’s life, and he looked up to him. I hope Reggie knew how important he was to my son.
“Wow, he’s hot” I snapped my head so fast at my mom that I almost got whiplash.
“What?” I said, choking on my drink, my train of thought now completely abandoned. “What the hell, mom.”
She laughed at my discomfort. I hope no one else was paying us any attention. A quick survey at the rest of the party, and I could tell they were all too busy with their stuff to care. Thank goodness.
