The police backup team had arrived. They rushed in the direction he took Hanna. They could hear Hanna shouting and screaming. Zak and Hamza had followed the team of police officers. They parked their car and ran after the team. As they got near they could hear her screams.

Zak and Hamza's anxiety sky rocketed. What was happening? They watched wide eyed as the officers bust in to the room the screams were coming from. There the man was standing behind Hanna, with a knife to her throat. She was bruised and tied up. Thankfully her clothes were still on.

Perhaps, he had tried to silence her when she started to scream. The police officers held their guns at the attacker. But they didn’t make any advances.

“One wrong move, and pretty girl here dies right in front of you.” He threatened. No one responded.

Liam slowly cut the ropes from Hanna’s hands and backed towards the open window that led outside. He was going to jump. It was long shot, but he was going to try anyway. Just then, when he least expected, an officer wearing combat uniform jumped in to the room through the very window and held Liam so firmly he couldn’t even budge.

Hanna saw her opportunity and ran towards Zak. He held her tight as she sobbed on to his chest. The officers handcuffed Liam and took him away. He was arrested in the crime scene. So that means that he wouldn’t be able to get out their custody soon.

The officer in charge of the case thanked Hanna for her bravery and for their co-operation and left with the rest of his team.

Hanna looked at her husband and then at her brother. They smiled. She was the bravest woman they knew.

“We did it” Hanna said as she smiled through her sobs. “we actually did it.” She said.

Hamza shook his head.

“You did it my dearest sister. I am so proud of you.”

Zak nodded in agreement. His wife was smart, beautiful and brave. He couldn’t have asked for more.

“Now I can be at peace and go back to finish my studies. Even my wife and daughter will be waiting for me. When I told them about the current situation they were very anxious and scared.” Hamza said.

Hanna smiled when he mentioned her sister in law and niece. “It has been a long time since I last saw them. Come back to Male’ when you are done studying.” Hanna’s said.

“Yeah. I’d like you to work in my company.” Zak added.

“Really?” Hamza asked excited. This was the best job offer he could ask for. Zak’s company was the biggest company in this city.

“Of course. And we will see how you perform and perhaps you will be promoted. I am pretty impressed already with your skills.” Zak explained.

Hamza grinned. “Wow. I feel flattered.” He laughed. “I'll leave tomorrow hopefully. Now let’s go and get some sleep.”

All of them agreed. They were too tired for anything else. At least the stalker was now captured. And they could live in peace now.

Hanna pov.

It is so satisfying. I was scared shitless but all that chaos was worth it. Now I am at peace. It was like I’m free after a long period of struggle. As if I had won a war.

It was the most peaceful car ride home. I was smiling the whole way. I looked outside and enjoyed each and every scene I saw. Even the busy and crowded Male’ city seemed so peaceful to me.

“We are here.” Hamza said. “I’ll try to sleep. I just booked a ticket online to go back. The sooner the better.” He said.

I nodded. “I also want to go to our room and get some rest.” I said.

“You really want to rest or.......” My brother raised his eyebrows and glanced at Zak before bursting out in laughter.

My eyed grew wide and my face heated up.

“Hamzaaaaa.” I yelled at him. He just waved and walked in to the mansion. I covered my face. My annoying brother was back to being himself.

I heard Zak chuckle. “Babe. Let’s go. You need rest.” He said.

I removed my hands from my face. “let’s go” I replied, still trying to hide my smile but failed miserably.

He looked at me and smirked. “You know, take your time. I’ll wait for you.” He said as we reached our room.

That caught my attention. I looked at him for a while and sighed.

He proceeded to freshen up while I waited outside. I took my night dress and waited for him to come out so that I could take a shower. He was quick to finish. I also hurried and took a quick shower. When I came out he was working on his laptop. I walked slowly towards him and sat beside him. I ran my fingertips on his bare skin. I saw that his breathing hitched. His lips parted and he looked at me. I could see that he gulped.

“I think we have waited long enough.” I whispered.

Zak pov.

Next morning I woke up later than usual. I always try to get up early and get on with my day’s work. The past few days had been hectic. So a lot of work is pending already. A lot of emails were unanswered. I tried to catch on with some of my emails when my little seductress invited me for something else.

I smirked as I remembered it. I had been waiting for this day and finally it happened. Hannah stirred in her sleep. She stretched and yawned.

“Morning babe.” I greeted her.

“Hmmm? What time is it?” she asked.

“It is 8:30 already. And I’m late for work.” I told her. I have a lot of work to catch up on. So I might be late. Hamza also will be leaving today right?” I said.

“Yes.” Hanna replied. “Babe?” she called.

“You don’t want me to work do you?” she asked.

“To tell the truth, I wouldn’t want you to. But if you really want to work I won’t stop you. If going to work makes you happy, go for it.” I said.

She smiled. “ I think I will go. You will be busy and if I don’t work I’ll most probably end up feeling lonely.” She said. “Besides I have missed a lot of work days already. I’ll take rest today and start going tomorrow. After Hamza leaves.”

“Ok.” I freshened up and got ready for work as soon as possible. I pecked on her cheeks and noticed the huge hickey mark on her neck. I smirked.

“I think your brother will find something to tease you about before he leaves.” I told her.

“What?” she asked as she ran towards the full length mirror in the room.

I waited to see her reaction. She face palmed and groaned.

“I’m not going to hear the end of this.” She said. I chuckled amused at her reaction.

“See you later love” I called her and blew a flying kiss towards her.

I ran into Hamza who was headed towards our room. “Is she awake?” he asked me and I nodded.

I watched him knock on the door and she open it. I turned around to be on my way. However, I couldn’t go far when I heard him exclaim.

“Oh my God, I am going to be an uncle soon!!!”

Followed by a very irritated. “Hamzaaaaaa.”

I laughed a little. We can be happy at last. A smile was constant on my face as I walked towards my car. It is so good that we can finally live in peace. I know that the fact that her parents are no more will have a permanent effect on our lives. But at least now, that guy is captured. And I feel that her parents would be now at peace. I hummed as I opened the car door and got in and drove off.

Zak drove off to his work place after days of being absent. He felt that everything was in place. What he didn’t notice was the person right outside the gate of his mansion, who was silently watching Zak’s every move. The unknown person watched as Zak drove off. The person knew that the gate was now guarded twice as much as it was earlier. There was no way to get in the house without getting noticed. Specially in broad daylight.

The person eyed the mansion. One thing is for sure. There is no stopping until Zak and Hanna is destroyed.
