Cancun. The water glistened an azure blue while waves rolled up into the sugar-colored sand. The salty air around us bringing a sense of familiarity since the only thing that had remained the same was the ocean. The sky above was painted a pastel blue with fluffy white clouds occasionally floating around. The house was lonely on this island that seemed to be private. I had been lacking social interaction and wasn't going to lie when I felt a slight disappointment. I knew why isolation was necessary for my situation but that didn't stop me from feeling disappointed about the whole thing. The only social interaction I was going to have was with Harry which was minimal since he was a man of few words. The island went by the name of Isla Blanca, it was separate from Cancun and a ferry was needed to travel here. It felt nice to feel the sea breeze in my hair while I leaned up against the railing of the boat. Sunglasses shade over my eyes and were a demand of Harry's that I wear them since we were going to be around others when on the ferry. My hair whipped around in the breeze most likely tangling it into knots I would have to tend to later tonight before I went to bed. Turning my head to the left to see Harry with his sunglasses hiding his green eyes, he typed away on his phone. I wondered who he was always in contact with and what things he discussed without my knowledge. Even with his sunglasses shading over his eyes I could still see the intensity in his face that never went away. His hair flowed in the sea breeze as he went unaware of how beautiful he really looked. Harry was truly captivating to look at and that was my weakness. His eyes were a beautiful jade coloring while his curly locks framed his face perfectly. His jawline sharp like the rest of his body, he was muscular which caused his tattoos to stand out when he flexed. How could someone be so beautiful from the outside but the complete opposite on the inside? The ferry ride wasn't long which despite being tired from the plane, I wished it was longer. I loved being on top of the water and feeling the breeze dance through my hair and graze my skin lightly. I liked hearing the voices of others that pointed out the beautiful things around them. Swinging my bag over my shoulder I looked towards Harry to see him doing the same. "This is us." He spoke gesturing for me to follow him. He walked past all kinds of people, some tourists, and others residence. My eyes taking in the last of the people before I followed behind Harry, I didn't know the next time I would see other people excluding Harry. Taking in a sigh my feet sunk into the ground as soon as my shoes came into contact with the white glittering sand. Rotating back to face the ferry that was pulling away I watched it fade into view while he left us behind. Switching back I noticed Harry had kept up a quicker pace noticing he was already unlocking the front door to the estate. It was weird being the only house on this island, it gave me a sense of seclusion. Picking my pace back up and making my way towards the expensive looking estate I reached the driveway where the sand had disappeared from under my feet leaving me with a more stable surface. Searching around and taking in the luxury space I shut the white door. "Wow," I said audibly hearing an echo ring throughout the house that held only two bodies. I watched as Harry lifted the white sheets from the furniture, making the space more livable. Readjusting the wrap of my bag I walked up the stairs to see three bedrooms to choose from. Each one looking close to identical except the ranging in sizes. I already knew Harry would take the master bedroom where ever that was in the house, so that left three bedrooms that were free for me to pick from. Taking the room closest to the staircase I threw my bag on the bed feeling the weight on my shoulder lift. Taking a seat on the edge of the bed I took in the color scheming of the room and how it matches the rest of the house. Everything followed a white and gold color scheme from the white carpets and flooring to the porcelain painted walls. Accents of gold paying on the furniture like the gold bed frame and door knobs. It gave me an old money type vibe. Standing up from the bed after a quick rest from being on my feet I went out to explore the rest of our new living quarters. Going back downstairs I went down the hall I was going to assume the master bedroom sat. To my assumption, I was right when I saw Harry setting up his computer and other things he had in Florence. Leaving him to settle in I wondered back to the kitchen and living room to see it was a big open concept space. Looking out the windows of the kitchen I watched the waves curl up onto the beach and roll up onto the shore. Opening up the window I let in the fresh ocean air sounds that accompanied it. Standing and observing the life outside I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen area. Instinctively putting my hand over the area that began cramping to found myself a bathroom to investigate the pain. Praying to God that it wasn't what I thought it was, I sat on the toilet and relived myself. Looking down into my panties I saw a red blood stain confirming my suspicions. Oh god. Tugging up my light washed skinny jeans I washed my hands I mentally prepared myself in the mirror for the conversation I would have to have with Harry. Taking a deep breath I closed my eyes and opened them back up to look at myself in the mirror before taking the door knob and twisting it to open. Meeting Harry in the kitchen I watched him busily pull things from the fridge and pantry that had already been pre-stocked for us. Scooting over to the bar stool seat I sat down slowly forgetting how I was going to bring this up. Biting my lip I parted my lips to begin the conversation. "Harry?" "Yes, Mia?" He answered not even turning to face me as he still dug around in the fridge finding all his needed ingredients for the meal. I gulped down the fear fidgeting with my fingers underneath the large island I was sat at. I didn't realize it but my heartbeat had picked up from my nervousness to ask him such an uncomfortable question. With anyone else, I would come straight out and ask for a tampon but Harry was a different type of personality and something made me nervous to ask him for his assistance. "Can we go to the store?" I asked him cautiously noticing him shut the fridge and turn to face me along with the other food items he had tossed behind him. I no doubt knew he was going to ask me a follow-up question that being why I needed to go to the store. "Why the hell would we need to go to the store for?" His expression confused and annoyed by such a question. "I umm.." I trailed knowing that I should just come out and say what I needed to say. Nothing was going to get done if I didn't just put it out on the table. "Have you lost your ability to speak?" Harry fired getting increasingly annoyed at my lack of explanation. The cramp in my stomach growing larger each second I was hesitant towards asking for Harry's help. "No." I denied speaking a little louder for him to hear me clearly. Blowing out a breath I closed my eyes not wanting to make eye contact with him. "I started my period and I need tampons." Opening my eyes up to Harry and biting the inside of my cheek I waited for him to respond to my situation. I knew the store was far since we needed a ferry to get over to Cancun but this was urgent. "Go check my bedroom, under the sink in the bathroom," Harry said as if he weren't even fazed by the situation. I felt stupid now seeing that he was so nonchalant about the whole thing. "Okay." I nodded sliding off the bar stool and scurrying away back down the hall where Harry had settled into the master bedroom. Coming into the bedroom I saw his laptop was wide open sitting on the side table. Peeking my head out of the bedroom I saw Harry concentrated on the task at hand. Shutting the door quietly I ran over to the little side table and sat down in the grey padded modern chair. Tapping the space bar I saw Harry was already logged in making my job all that much easier. I didn't know what I would expect to find on here but I searched around snooping when I knew I shouldn't be. Clicking on finder I went on to find all of Harry's files, maybe this would lead me to things about him, things about myself. While quickly navigating around his computer I found a folder that tucked away a program that held information about the British Secret Service given that was the programs name. Glancing around the room sweat glided down my brow on whether I should investigate further. I didn't know how much time I had before Harry would come and check on me. Then again, when would I have another opportunity like this? Curiosity was eating me alive at this point and a decision needed to be made. I was wasting time sitting here contemplating with myself. Hearing footsteps down the hall I began to exit out of finder, erasing any traces of me messing with Harry's things. Hopping off the chair and hustling to the bathroom I began to sort through the toiletries under the big vanity sink inside the massive master bathroom. "Did you find any?" Harry's voice interrupting me as I pulled out a slim object from the basket. "Yeah. Thanks!" I nodded feeling my heartbeat in my ears from sneaking around without Harry's knowledge. Picking myself up off the ground I walked past him and out of the bedroom to find an alternative bathroom. Curiosity was nagging at me now that I had wasted so much time on making a decision. What had been in those files? I had to find another excuse to go into Harry's bedroom unattended. The question was, how? -June 20, 2016
