Hunter pulled up in front of a house, and Mason exited the explorer. He walked up to a door and knocked as someone answered, and he stepped inside with the door closing behind him.
“It’s been a long time, Mason,” the man said.
Mason looked at him. “This isn’t a social visit. If you want a social visit, call Charles. I'm here to discuss business.”
“You’re quick and to the point.”
The door opened and closed as three rowdy boys came barreling through the house. The man looked at them, as did Mason.
“Sorry, Dad,” one boy said.
He gave them a look and walked to his office, with Mason following him.
“I’m sorry about my son and his friends. They’re young.”
“I’m used to it, and I have a boy of my own and nephews.” Mason took a seat.
