A Little Rewind

"You should go get your queen." sheila said as she conjured whatever spells on his body.

"Why? I didn't send her away." Lohith replied

"She's acting based on past betrayal, so the wizard said. She locked her emotions out of her human side, so she's yet to feel anything for you. It would take time or something tragic or sensitive to trigger it again." sheila explained

Lohith was quiet, he knew she didn't feel anything for him, he knew she was void of emotions. But he was already dealing with so much right now, he felt staying away from him while he figures his s**t out would have been better. Then he remembered the incident with the vampires, he couldn't risk her getting attacked again. So he decided to go after her and bring her back, even if it means locking her up in the room while he looks for the young virgin he slept with that activated his powers.

The next day, after the ritual, Lohith called his cousin into his chambers and julian came in. "I'm going to get the queen back, but i'll leave her in your care while i go to america." Lohith said

"You're not leaving your wife in my care, i'll go look for the young girl. Stay with your mate and try as much as possible to mark her." julian retorted. "How will we even find her? There's no name. How drunk were you?"

"Dead drunk, i didn't even notice my powers had activated until i returned to ravaryn." Lohith pulled his hair in frustration. "Lohan left a note, and a stack of cash." he suddenly remembered.

"Think i'll work with that. Now go get your Queen back."

Back to the present, Lincoln Nebraska.

Gianna and Reagan took Lohith to the apartment, gianna was only able to remove the bullets and stop the bleeding, but he was still unconscious.

"What happened? I left you for a few minutes." gianna asked

"You were gone for an hour gia."

"What? Really?"

"You really need to stop popping those pills." Reagan scolded

"You need to try it, they're pure ecstacy."

"Shut up, Have you forgotten i'm pregnant."

"Oh yeah, you're right."

"You see."

Reagan groaned in anger, "I was coming to look for you when i bumped into him, he wanted me to go back with him, but i refused. We got into an argument and before i could blink, he got shot, twice on same spot." reagan panicked

"Why are you panicking, you wanted to kill this man right? Now is your chance." gianna said, trying to get a drink, but reagan grabbed it from her and poured out it's content.

"Hey."

"Yes, i want him dead, but.... not like this, not here."

"Well, who ever shot him, was no human. The bullets are deeply embedded with dark magic, this could paralyze him for days."

"Dark magic."

"Mmm mm, conjured by a powerful sorcerer or sorceress."

"You can't heal him?"

"I don't have the ability to match such magic." gianna said

"I need to take him back, please help me."

"Hell no!"

"Gianna."

"He hates witches, have you thought of what he will do to me if he wakes up? I'm scared as it is."

"He won't, you said he'll be paralyzed for days. Please help me, Let's take him back." Reagan said

"And you? Will you stay back with him." gianna asked, the question left reagan confused, she had never been confused.

"I have to finish what i started right?" she managed to say.

"Okay, i'll help you."

"Thank you."

After they had carried the man into the back seat of her SUV, the ladies got in and headed for ravaryn. Gianna watched reagan's expression throughout their trip, she looked worried for someone she intended to kill.

"Are you sure you can go through with your plan?" gianna asked

"Shhh, he could hear you." reagan said, "We've talked about this, i know what i'm doing." she said. Gianna remained quiet, reagan continued to check Lohith at the back seat every minute, she knew something happened to her the moment those bullets pierced his chest. But she couldn't explain it to gianna until she knew what that was.

They arrived at the castle and reagan spoke into the intercom at the gate. "This is heaven reagan." gianna said as she drove in, looking at the large golden castle, everything in kaneria was made of gold, but the castle was even more heavenly.

"What happened?" Lohan asked as he and commander oliver carried the prime out. They took him straight to his bedroom and summoned the wizard immediately.

"My Queen, my Queen." reagan's maids hurried to her side.

"Thank you, miss....."

"Gianna, you're welcome my prince."

"Evelyn please prepare a guest room for her, she'll be here for a few days." reagan ordered

"Rea....I mean, Queen Reagan. I don't think that's a good idea, the prime will have my head once he wakes up." gianna said

"You're my guest, he won't do that, at least stay the night."

Gianna sighed, "Fine, just one night."

Gianna followed the maid evelyn to one of the guest room, while reagan walked into hers. Lohith laid still on their bed, she carefully touched him, he was burning up. Reagan hurried into the bathroom to get a towel and a bowl of cold water to ease his burning temperature.

"What is wrong with me? I shouldn't care this much." reagan said, she folded the towel and placed it on his forehead, then stood up. "What is this feeling i have?" she stepped away from him.

"Re..Reagan." Lohith called faintly, but she didn't move an inch. He slowly opened his eyes and turned to look at her, "You're okay?"

"Of course i'm okay." she replied

"Hmmm." he closed his eyes again, "I...don't look so good, do i?"

"No, you don't."

"You...should leave, i don't want you...to see me like this."

"I'm not leaving you alone." she said, shocking herself.
