Chapter 17: Dinner Date

After a long night’s rest, I still wake up feeling unrefreshed. That’s more common than not these days, but at least I feel like I’m able to get out of bed today. I spend some time lying in bed as my thoughts drift to Nick. How is he doing down in the dungeons? Is he being treated right? Is he eating enough? I’m sure my grandparents and his whole family are worried sick about our disappearance. Surely, the Oureys wouldn’t tell my grandparents that we were sucked into another dimension full of demons and werewolves…right? So, what would they tell them? Would they say that we ran away together as young lovers? I hate the idea of my grandparents worrying themselves sick over me.
