“Lady Addison?” I feel myself being gently shaken awake by a pair of delicate hands. My eyes flutter open and I see Persephone standing over me. “Lady Addison, it’s time for me to get you dressed for dinner,” she says hesitantly. “Dinner?” I ask groggily. “Yes, you are expected for dinner with His Majesty, the King. You’ve been asleep all day since your bath.” I slowly blink my eyes at her, but I can’t seem to bring the room into focus. A hazy fog seems to be clouding my brain. Trying to move my limbs, I feel as though I have lead coursing through my veins, and I can’t move. My hands and feet are completely numb, and my right leg is in pain. CFS rears its ugly head yet again. Although, given everything that’s happened in the past twenty-four hours, it’s no wonder I feel like this
