Joanna looked the man in the eyes, smirked, and swiftly smashed her bottle over his head. It did not break as she'd expected, but there was a more than satisfying THUD as the bottle made contact with his forehead. He let go of Olivia's hand, and as he stumbled backward, Joanna stood up and kicked him in the balls.
The man screamed as his hands found his crotch. His knees bent, and then he fell to the floor.
Joanna stepped on the man's stomach and said aggressively, "Stay away from my girl."
When Olivia heard this, she began laughing, and Joanna put her arm around her friend's shoulders. "What's wrong?" She asked. "Are you not my girl?"
"I dreamt of being your girl," she said. "If I were, I would be the happiest woman in this world."
Joanna nodded in satisfaction.
When the greasy man's buddy saw what happened to him, he crept up behind Joanna and Olivia with a beer bottle. He threw it at Joanna, but Olivia saw it, and she shouted, "Joanna, watch out!" Joanna was able to get out of the way in time, and the bottle smashed against the wall behind them. The man frowned and lunged at them, but then another man pinched his wrist, and he screamed.
Within seconds, a fight had broken out between the two men, and Joanna realized that she knew who the man who was fighting for her was, except she couldn't place him. He was really good-looking, and the longer she looked at him, the more handsome she thought he was. In fact, the man was even more attractive than Ken. Not only that, but he was a skilled fighter. He had a beautiful figure, and he was able to dispatch her attacker quickly.
When the action was over, the man turned to look at Joanna. He had a cynical look on his face. Then, when he smiled, she figured out who he was and where they'd met. It was Master Brian, the Police Officer from the previous night! Her face turned red, and she suddenly felt timid. She tried to walk over to him, but because she was drunk, she was unsteady, and Brian couldn't help but laugh.
Olivia stepped forward to help her walk, but Brian reached her first. He took her in his arms, and this sudden intimacy caused Joanna to blush. "You pervert!" she shouted drunkenly. "Let me down! And get away from me!"
Brian smelled good, and his broad chest felt like it had been chiseled from marble. This man is amazing! – Joanna thought.
Joanna's words amused Brian. He looked at her flushed cheeks, and he couldn't help trying to pinch them. "If I didn't hold you," he said, "you would be on the floor. Little girl, are you upset with me for saving you?"
Joanna felt that Brian was too talkative. She said, "I don't care. You hugged me! You're a pervert!"
"Fine then," Brian said. "I will put you down." But the moment Joanna's feet touched the ground, she staggered, and if he hadn't hugged her from behind, she would have fallen.
Brian's breath hit the back of Joanna's neck, and her face flushed again.
"I asked you to stay with me yesterday, but you refused," Brian said, "but now you can't get enough of me! What's more, you're practically throwing yourself into my arms! What's up with that?" After Brian finished speaking, he picked Joanna up. Joanna was a little scared, so she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Olivia was stunned by this spectacle.
"You hugged me again!" Joanna cried in dismay.
"Is there a problem?" Brian asked. "Are you uncomfortable?"
Joanna thought about it for a while, and then she said, "There is a problem, and I am uncomfortable!"
Brian: "Oh"
Joanna: "Your arm is too stiff, and I am afraid of heights!"
Brian smiled. He loosened his arms and turned to Olivia. "Did you come here by car?" he asked.
Olivia: "Yes. My car is in the parking lot."
Brian: "Let's go."
Olivia led the way, and Brian followed with Joanna held safely in his arms, and as they passed through the exit, Joanna cried out in dissatisfaction: "Master Brian, why are you still holding me?"
Brian did not answer her question. Instead, he said, "We only met once, and you remembered me so clearly. It must be because of my handsome face."
Joanna nodded, and then she shook her head. Then, just before and she fell asleep, she said, "No, no, no… It's because you're handsome, and..." because you are an asshole – those were the five words that she failed to say. And he was an asshole. Truly. After all, no one would invite someone to spend a night with them after just meeting them on the street, unless they were an asshole. Yes, Brian was definitely a bad man!
When Joanna awoke the next morning, she was in her own bed, and she assumed that Olivia was the one who brought her home, and she hoped to put the previous day's memories behind her. After getting dressed, Joanna went downstairs, and she saw that a fresh breakfast had been laid out on the table for her, and she was quite surprised. She had not expected Ken to come home. She had assumed that he would have spent the night with his mistress.
Mrs. Peck saw her, and she greeted her with a smile, "Morning, Mrs. Green."
Joanna: "Morning, Mrs. Peck."
Mrs. Peck came over and sat at the table across from her. "You were drunk quite yesterday," she said. "Did getting drunk make you feel better?"
Joanna sighed. "It did," she replied. "Thank you for asking."

That evening, Joanna wanted to go to the mall. As soon as she sat in her car, though, a man jumped up from the back seat, and he covered her nose and mouth with a rag. Joanna cried out and struggled with all of her might, but to no avail. The man was too strong for her to fight off, and she quickly lost consciousness.
The man quickly got out of the car, opened the driver's side door, and pushed Joanna into the passenger seat. He climbed into the car, and then he called his boss to give him an update. Once that was done, he started the car and drove her to the hotel.
