When A Michaels Is Born Even The Gods Tremble In Fear. After all their a family that has led the Meta Human Clan for generations. When I was born no one knew what I would become. A shifter... a Meta... it was up in the air. The only thing my parents and family knew was that I would be at least a Rank S. But my rank, my power that wasn't important right now. I came back to the past too late and now the only thing I could do was continue on from here. And keep my mother alive. Ever since that day my mother, Raina, hadn't been the same. It was the same as last time, her guilt, her depression, her sleepwalking. She was broken, and my father, he was assumed dead. They never did find his body. Now that I think about it. It made sense that he was still alive. It made sense that one day he would reappear. What didn't make sense was why he joined Arc and why he, who was once the most important person to my mother, became her enemy. And why because of that she died. "Mommy," I said, peeking around the corner into her room. She was wearing a nice block dress, her white hair was down like it had always been and she was just staring at herself in the mirror. "Mommy," I said again. My mother turned to look at me. "Is it time already?" Mom asked, I nodded. Mom walked over to me and picked me up. "How are you holding up baby?" My mother asked as she walked towards the front door. "I'm ok mommy," I told her honestly. I wanted to tell my mother that my father wasn't really dead. That we would see him again just to stop her mom from feeling sad. But even I knew that my mother wouldn't believe me. After all, I wasn't My 17 year old self anymore. I was 5, and who would believe a 5 year old. My mother walked outside, with me still in her arms. Everyone was already there. Today they would be burying an empty casket In the small family cemetery just down the road. "There you are Raina," my uncle Jackson said, appearing along with my grandfather and aunt Angela. "I'm surprised you two actually came," my mother said to my grandfather and uncle. She didn't like them very much. "We wouldn't miss the funeral of a clan leader" my grandfather told my mom. "f**k off" the words came out of my mouth without even realizing. The 4 of them just stared at me shocked for a moment. "Aneira you shouldn't say that" my mother told me as I saw my aunt trying to hold in her laughter. I knew what my grandfather was after, he had tried in my previous life as well. "You just want to take control of the Shifters" I said "well you can't bad men can't lead the shifters" I said. I was 5, what were they going to do kill me? I thought to myself. "Well you're far too young to lead it yourself any" he said through gritted teeth. "Only nice people can call me, Any, and you're not nice" I said. "Were Michaels Aneira" my grandfather said sharply. "Were not supposed to be nice" he said. "Freeze" I said and he froze. My mother, aunt and uncle stared at me neither a shocked look, then looked at my grandfather, he wasn't moving. "Aneira how did you...." "your a meta" my aunt Angela said, interrupting my mother. "Miss Raina, it's time to begin," a guard said approaching my mother. She nodded. "Aneira unfreeze your grandfather" my mother said. "I don't know how," I said, pouting. "Aneira," my mother said with a slight annoyance in her voice. "Were meant to be strong" my grandfather spoke as he suddenly un-froze. Before he could say anything else my mother walked away, and to the front row of one of the many benches that were placed in the yard. She put me down then we both sat down. It was only a few minutes later that it had officially started. A lot of people spoke regarding my father. They said nice things, funny things, mentioned the good memories they had of him and the things he had done to protect the Shifter Clan. It made me understand even less why he joined Arc. The entire time different people spoke my mother was once again in her daze. I wished there was something more I could do to cheer her up. Something I could do to make her forget. But there wasn't. At least not now. We all suddenly stood up. 6 men picked up the empty casket and led the group of people out of the yard and down the road. I held my mother's hand as we walked directly behind them. "Mommy," I said quietly. "Hm," she replied. "You should be the one to lead the shifters" I told her. "What?" She questioned looking down at me. "I'm the one who was supposed to lead them next right... after daddy" I said. "But I'm too little," I added. "So you should do it," I told her with a smile. "Aneira I..." she said "she's right" a woman said appearing behind my mother. "Rachel," I said with a smile. "The shifters, they trust you, Raina," she told my mother. "They wouldn't mind you leading them until she came of age" she added as we approached the burial site. "We'll talk later," my mother said. They placed the casket on some weird mechanism to lower it into the ground. Then one by one everyone placed a black rose on the casket. It was a Shifter tradition that was only done for their kings or queens. After everyone placed a rose my mother did. She then kissed her 3 fingers and placed them on the casket, closing her eyes only for a moment. Then we both stepped back. And they loved the casket into the ground. TO BE CONTINUED
