Bella's POV
“What do you mean you’ve resigned, and you are traveling to California?” Zach asked, confused, with disbelief in his eyes. He still couldn't believe that I had resigned from a job I loved so much, and the worst part is that I had booked a ticket to California.
Zach got closer to me and looked straight into my eyes. I noticed he was searching for something in my eyes, which made me uncomfortable, and I had to look away.
“Is there something you are not telling me? My wolf could sense it,” he murmured, and I frowned within myself. Zach was known for his smartness, and I wasn’t surprised that he could detect something was going on with me.
“Bel, you know you can tell me anything,” he pleaded, but I remained mute. There was no way I was going to tell him the truth about my plans
