Alpha Darin's POV
I looked at Darwin, who looked back at me with confusion and disbelief etched on his face. I saw him shake his head in disbelief before looking back at the doctor. “She can’t be pregnant; she was in heat, doctor. How could she be in heat while pregnant?” He voiced out the same thing that had been on my mind.
The doctor sighed. “This is no new case, alphas. We have seen peculiar cases like this. Believe me, Miss Bella isn’t the first to experience such, but the healers are not mistaken. Miss Bella was pregnant but lost the pregnancy, apologies.”
My heart clenched in my chest, and for a moment, I couldn’t breathe. If Bella was really pregnant, that means we just lost our child, our first seed.
