Darwin inhaled deeply and sat beside me. “You are bleeding on your hands,” he said, sounding worried.
“It doesn't matter, Darwin. Tell me what happened and don’t keep anything away,” I demanded. I knew something had happened while I was away, something really wrong. I could feel it deep down.
“Do you remember what happened?” Darwin asked, and I nodded.
“My car brake wasn’t working…” I paused as it dawned on me that someone might have tampered with my brakes. With dilated eyes, I looked at Darwin, who sighed.
