Arriving in my room, Darwin and I sat on the couch, staring at each other without knowing what to say. I still couldn’t believe Bella was our mate; it had never crossed my imagination, nor had I ever had a slight thought about it. To be mated to Bella was a bad idea from the Moon Goddess. I mean, what would father have said if he were still alive? A girl he has considered his daughter turning out to be the mate of his sons? It would have been absurd for him.
“But at least she isn’t your sister,” my wolf murmured, but I groaned. This was worse than being mated to my sister. How can the Moon Goddess mate us to a lady who hates us? There was so much hate for us in her eyes; she could literally kill us if given the chance.
