Episode 11
Jimmie's pov:
$10M?!
Wow that's a lot but...the money isn't the issue right now. This task is not that easy.
"So what do you say?" She asked and I sighed.
"Miss Beatrice is not about the money and besides why did you choose me for this? Do you really think I'm capable?" I asked and she just smiled.
"Of course you are" she replied
"I'm not a rich guy infact I find it difficult to feed my family and this new job I got, is more like a breakthrough for me. I'm sorry Ma'am but I don't think I can accept this offer" I said with a bow before standing up then her smiles dropped.
"But why?" She asked sadly
"I can't just jeopardize everything I've worked for" I added and turned to leave.
"I'll pay you 20" she added and I sighed before turning to look at her.
"Like I said... it's not about the money" I replied and held the door knob.
"Jimmie please wait" she said and I paused.
"Is it about work now Ma'am?" I asked politely.
"Have you ever thought of empathy?" She asked and walked to me but I just kept mute.
"You would really want to help me if you knew the type of mother I had" she said lowly and I just stared at her.
"Please" she whispered and I thought for a while.
"What if your Mum finds out about this contract thing" I asked.
"If you can act it very well, it would very difficult for her to find out. You studied art right, you should be very good at this stuff just like me" she said
"Not theater art" I mumbled and she nudged my shoulder.
"Come on... just help me. if anything happens I'll take the blame and also take care of everything because I dragged you into this" she shrugged
"But I'm not into this yet" I replied breezily and she groaned
"Ahhh come on Jimmie please. Wait I'm the boss here it's an order. You're in" she said playfully and I was forced to laugh.
She looked really cute doing that.
Oh my God!
...did I just call my boss cute? Thank goodness she can't read my thoughts or else I'll be dead meat.
Jesus have mercy on me.
"Fine I'm in since you promised to take responsibility" I replied and she beamed
"Really? Thank you so much. You don't have to worry I'll take care of everything" she assured me and I just sighed.
"Here...sign" she gave me a sheet of paper and I took it from her to have a look at it.
"You're still going to give me the $10M because it's still stated here... wait and a Mansion?! With eight cars? What is this?" I asked and she turned to look at me.
"Well my Mum has a very strong taste for rich men so you need those things ready just in case" she explained and I just stared at the paper.
"Alright" I mumbled and sighed on it.

Sharon_Wesley's Mum, went to Lora's house to apologize on behalf of her son only for her to receive cold shoulders.
"It must have been really hard for your daughter to tolerate Wesley for a long time. I never knew anything about it, he never told me..."
"But he's your son" Lora cut her off icily and sipped from her tea.
She loves drinking this ginger tea because it somehow calms her nerves and saves her from stress.
It also helps as a distraction when she doesn't want to listen to whatever you have to say, like now.
"You should have concern about him and watch everything he does" she added and wait...
Why did it sound like she was talking about herself. Does she show concern about her own children?
And wasn't she the one who was okay with Wesley being a cheat days ago?
Hmm
"I know but he is a full grown man now and he is not a subject under us anymore, well not totally" Sharon replied calmly
"That's for you but I'm afraid Wesley can't marry Bea for now because he is irresponsible. What would happen if my husband finally hand over our company to him? Would he sleep around with all his female staff?" Lora furrowed her brows and said before sipping from her small tea cup again.
"I promise to talk to him Lora, he would be of his best behavior and Xander would have nothing to worry about" Sharon assured her and with the mention of that name, Lora felt a twist in her tommy.
"I don't really care about whatever you do or tell your son because I always plan B if your son is not going to be of good help." Lora replied with a frown and Sharon c****d her eyebrows at her.
"What do you mean?" Sharon asked
"I'm going to adopt a son if your son is not capable" Lora said and she gasped.
"But..."
"Hi ladies" Nandi walked in and Lora turned to look at her.
"Ahh Nandi, it's so great to see you" Sharon feigned a smile and sprang up on her feet with her bag even when she wasn't happy with what Lora just said.
"It so great to see you as well. Are you going already? Or is my presence suddenly driving you away?" Nandi asked and Sharon chuckled.
"Of course not, I was about going before you came in...how is your daughter, I heard she's preparing for college" Sharon asked with a smile and Nandi chuckled.
"She's doing fine, thanks for asking" she replied.
"Alright then...(turns to look at Lora) we'll talk later. Have a nice day" Sharon said and left.
Nandi sighed before taking her sit opposite Lora who just stared into space.
(Nandi is Lora's Niece)
"What are you doing here this early?" Lora asked and lean back on the sofa.
"Is it a crime now to visit my sister?" Nandi asked with an eye rolled.
"Get me a glass of water" she said to a maid nearby and she bowed before living.
"So, how are you?" She asked and adjusted to cross her leg.
"Fine" Lora replied effortlessly as she stared upward.
"When is your husband coming back?" She asked and Lora kept mute.
"You guys haven't settled yet, have you? I thought you were hearing well from him before?" She asked
"Well yes he's coming back this year but I don't know when" Lora frowned.
"Lora!"
"What?"
"Can't you just beg him?" Nandi asked
"No. Why would I beg my husband? For what? We where both at fault, I get that but that doesn't mean I'll have to apologize to him. It's not just right" Lora replied with disgust
"So what is right? Being a proud peacock and loose everything? Look at your children, they obviously don't like your attitude" Nandi said but Lora paid deaf ears to what she said.
"Alright, What about your kids?"
"They are where they are" Lora replied and Nandi sighed.
"Lora" she called calmly but Lora didn't say anything.
"Don't tell me you aren't still making good effort towards your kids?" She asked
"Pfft. What do you want me to do? They hate me already" Lora mumbled.
"Your kids don't hate you, they just hate your stupid attitude. You are a mother Lora and also a wife. You are expected to be submissive to your husband no matter how hard it is. It's not too late to change Lora, your children will still love you" Nandi explained
"So what's your point now?" Lora asked.
"My point is, you need a therapist" Nandi replied and she hissed.
"I don't need a therapist" Lora frowned.
"That is what someone like you who needs a therapist would say. Take this from me" Nandi huffed and stretched forth a card to her. She hesitated so Nandi tossed it.
"That's Dr. Benson's card, contact him and have a therapy session with him. It will help you." She said before standing up then the maid came with a glass of water and she drank from it.
"I need to get going, I was heading somewhere and I just stopped by to say hello..."
"By giving this card" Lora scoffed and Nandi rolled her eyes.
"It's worth it. I'll check on you later and don't even think of doing what you wanted to do" Nandi said with a warning look.
"What?"
"Adopting a son" Nandi replied and Lora just looked away.
"That is way out of line" she added and left Lora thinking.
She stared at the card Nandi gave her earlier before keeping it aside.
"I don't need a therapist!" She said to herself and sipped from her cup.

Jimmie's pov:
I left Miss Beatrice office after signing on the paper and I went straight to the rest room.
This is crazy!
Being her boyfriend was the last thing I thought would happen to me
"You are just a fake boyfriend dummy" my subconscious mind said to me and I sighed.
It's still something...
Hold up...do we really have to do romantic stuff around her Mum?
Gosh it would be so embarrassing.
I've already signed on the damn paper and it just feels like I sighed a contract with hell.
It's just two day and my life is already turning into something else.
I hope I don't loose my job because Mum will so kill me.
Come on, put your self together Jim.
Don't freak out.
I inhaled deeply and went out of the restroom. I went to my desk and just as I expected, Samantha came to me.
"Hey... what happened? It took you so long, was your crime that huge" she smirked at me and I chuckled nervously.
"It wasn't a crime...she told me to..." I paused and remembered
*No one should know about this*
...then I gulped hard.
"...get prepared of the new project coming up" I managed to lie to her for the first time and it felt not good.
I wanted to tell her the truth so badly but I couldn't.
She stared at me weirdly and I smiled.
"That's it?" She asked
"If only you were not traveling, we could have started all the way" I added and she just sighed.
"I know right...I don't even want to go" she mumbled and I furrowed my eyebrows at her.
"Why? It's your sister's wedding, you have to be there for her" I said to her and she dropped her gaze to the desk, drawing imaginary lines on it.
"She's getting married to someone I don't trust and it's really a big headache for me, I'm really worried about her but she begged for my support" she said and I smiled ruefully then placed my hand on hers.
"If supporting her would make her happy why don't you just accept it, For her alone" I said and she stared at me.
"What if there are regrets?"
"What if there are no regrets?"I jibed in and she smiled lightly.
"Alright if you say so. I don't even know why I'm telling you all this but I know I can trust you. You could tell me anything at all as well... I'll sure be of help, trust me" she punched my shoulder playfully and I laughed.
Heaven knows that I was crying inside.
I'm the stupid one here.
