Damon's POV
I have to meet Colton and Axel to go over everything about last night, and then I have to write a report to brief the king. Yesterday the thought of doing all this didn't bother me at all. But that was before, and now I'm dreading it. I am dreading leaving my mate alone. No, I'm not one of those clingy wolves that have to be with their mate all the time, but have you seen my mate? She is so tiny and defenseless, and she is human, and I haven't marked her, so she can't mindlink me if she is in trouble. I'm hoping that I can get done with the meeting and the report in the time it takes my little mate to shower.
I walk Emily to the shower and show her how to work it. Then I show her where the towels and everything is.
