Being lazy at work and being discovered by the boss

On Monday, I should have been working with full energy, but looking at the bright sun outside the window, my mind drifted away unconsciously. I was browsing social media for a while, reading various jokes and complaints about the hot weather, and then staring at the computer screen, thinking about which supermarket to go to after get off work to buy some cold drinks to cool down. As a result, after a whole morning, my work progress was almost zero. In the afternoon, my boss came to ask about the progress of my work. I hesitated and couldn't answer. My boss's face suddenly became very ugly, and he criticized me severely, saying that my work attitude was not correct and I was still slacking off at such a critical time. My face was flushed, I lowered my head in shame, and secretly vowed to work hard in the afternoon. After get off work, I dragged my tired body back home. As soon as I opened the door, the heat wave hit me, and the house was like a steamer. I quickly turned on the air conditioner, took out a bottle of iced drink from the refrigerator, and drank it in one breath, and then I felt a little better. Then, I took a cold shower to try to wash away the fatigue and heat of the day. At night, I lay in bed, reading a novel, trying to calm myself. On Tuesday, I tried to restrain myself from slacking off, but I was distracted from time to time. During the lunch break, I went to the small garden downstairs of the company to take a walk and breathe some fresh air. However, the temperature outside was so high that I was sweating profusely after walking for a few minutes. I hurried back to the company and continued to work in the air-conditioned room. In the afternoon, I received an urgent task that needed to be completed before leaving get off work. I had to concentrate and work hard. Finally, at the last moment before leaving get off work, I completed the task. After returning home, I decided to make some summer food. I took out fruits such as watermelon and strawberry from the refrigerator and made a fruit salad. Then, I cooked another pot of mung bean soup and put it in the refrigerator for refrigeration. After eating the fruit salad and mung bean soup, I felt much refreshed. At night, I opened the window to let the breeze blow in. Although it was still hot, it was better than during the day. On Wednesday, I learned from the lessons of the previous few days and tried to focus on work. I spent the whole day in a busy manner, and my work efficiency has also improved significantly. In the afternoon, my boss praised my work performance, which made me feel very happy. After get off work, I went to the gym to relieve stress and heat through exercise. In the gym, I sweated profusely and released my energy to my heart's content. After the exercise, I felt much more relaxed and my mood became happier. On Friday, after a week of hard work, I finally welcomed the weekend. On this day, I completed various tasks efficiently and received praise from my boss. After get off work, my colleagues and I went to a restaurant for a dinner party to celebrate a week of hard work. In the restaurant, everyone laughed and enjoyed the food and the relaxed atmosphere. After the dinner, I went home and started planning the weekend's summer activities. I planned to go swimming in the swimming pool or go to the forest park in the suburbs to escape the heat, so that I could feel a little cool in the hot summer. On the weekend, the sun shone through the window into the room, bringing a dry heat. I lay in bed, tossing and turning, and couldn't stand the hot weather. So, after some careful consideration, I decided to go swimming. Imagining myself swimming in the cool water, the cool feeling made me look forward to it. Thinking of this, I was very satisfied with the summer heat plan I made, as if I had already felt the refreshing coolness.
