Xavier's Point of View
I tried to get to my mate to go with her, but before I could reach her she was gone with the warriors. Not only was I angry, but my wolf was as well. We watched her separate herself from the warriors and, even though the warriors were with the children, my eyes were on her. I thought she had everything under control, but suddenly the beings were on her. My wolf came out and I charged for the barrier and somehow made it through. I ran as fast as I could towards her but I watched as a cloud of black smoke surrounded them and they were gone, causing me to stop and my wolf to howl in pain. She was gone.
"Son," I heard my father say. I didn't bother to look at him. When they took her, the magic they used stopped hurting the pack. I knew the parents of the children were with them now. My mate gave herself up to them and I whimpered in pain.
"Son change back," my father said again, but instead my wolf ran to the spot she was in and laid there. Her scent was still there and it comforted him. I closed my eyes and tuned everyone out.
Alpha Thomas's Point of View
The pain I was feeling suddenly stopped and as I stood up I looked around. The children and parents were running towards one another and those in wolf form were shifting.
"Thomas are you okay?" I heard my mate as she fell to her knees and wrapped her hands around my wolf's neck. I nodded.
'What happened?' I asked through our link.
'Zoey came and, whatever those creatures were, took her.' my mate said as she squeezed me tighter.
'I need to shift,' I said as I let her words sink in. Once she let go, I shifted and looked at my pack. I noticed that the alpha and his son were in the field but the young wolf laid down.
"I take it that spot is where they took her from?" I asked.
"Yes."
'Alpha five black vehicles just crossed into our territory.' someone said through the link.
"Everyone listen up. Five unknown vehicles have just crossed into our territory. Warriors stay here and those of you who are not needed please take your loved ones home safely. Once this is over, we will have a meeting, but for now, thank the goddess above for the safe return of our children. Now go."
I watched as the pack quickly left the area and my daughter came over and handed me a pair of shorts. "Thank you. Now go home."
"Yes father. Is Zoey going to be okay?"
"That I am not sure of, but once this is over with the council and I will figure out what is going on."
"Ok."
I watched as my daughter ran towards the pack house. As she walked in, the five vehicles stopped in front of us.
"Go from one danger to another. Your pack is exciting."
"How is your son?" I asked the other alpha.
"He isn't responding right now. Until I can tell him how to find his mate, I fear I might lose my son. So let's get this drama over with."
Before I could answer, every door opened and men in suits came out of the vehicles.
"Where is Zoey?" One of the men asked as he approached me, taking his sun glasses off, showing me his red eyes.
I cleared my throat and looked away. The power he held was causing my wolf to shrink in fear.
"She is gone."
The man snarled and said, "gone, Gone. What do you mean by gone?"
"I remember you," My mate said as she came up to my side and took my hand. "You dated my sister but you have not aged a day. How?"
"I want to know where Zoey is and now?"
"She disappeared. These beings took her as she tried to protect us." Cindy said as she pushed into me.
"Did she tell you what they were?" He asked in a spooky calm voice.
"Acai."
The men behind the men began cursing just as the man's eyes grew bright red.
"How long ago?" He asked with a strained voice.
"Not even twenty minutes ago. My son is lying in the spot they took her."
"Mates?"
"Yes."
The man smiled and began to walk towards the wolf lying in the field. Before I could say anything, he was suddenly by Xavier.
Xavier's Point of View
I felt a rush of air but I kept my eyes closed. I just wanted to be with my mate and this was the closest I could be to her.
"Hello young wolf," someone said. I could feel the power they emanated and decided to open my eyes. A man with red eyes was on one knee looking at me.
I growled and he laughed.
"Can you change back into your human form? We need to save Zoey and you are the link that can help save her, but our time is ticking away."
I growled again and stood up. As he backed away, I shifted and looked at the man.
"My name is Xavier and who might you be?" I said as I stuck my hand. He just looked at it but did n't take it.
"Who I am does not matter." He rubbed his hands together and then said, "Getting Zoey back does. Will you help me?"
"Of course she is my mate."
He gave a wicked smile. "Good," he said, and suddenly he grabbed my head.
I was reliving the moment they took her and then suddenly I was transported back to the day I first saw her and the bond began to form between us. Just as quickly as I was looking at her, a flash of light appeared in place and I was hit with pain.
I began to scream but the pain didn't stop.
