“Mickey!, You ready?” Andy yelled while she was putting her shoes on in the living room. She was waiting for Mickey to get out of his bedroom.
Andy was all ready and set for the party. She stood up as she adjusted her feet in her newly bought shoes. Like they planned last night, Mickey brought her to the mall and bought her new dresses and shoes.
She was now wearing a deep blue empire-waist long gown and four-inches silver strapped heels. It totally complemented her grey-blue eyes.
Mickey went out of his room wearing his black suit with a dark blue necktie. He was matching with his twin and his pretend girlfriend for tonight.
“You look stunning, My love…” he said, complimenting Andy. She looked dazzling in her long gown. Andy was charming. Aside from their sand skin color, they both have the same eyeshade, bluish-grey, orbs. She has dark hair while his mane was brown. They once asked their light blonde mom where did they get those genes. She just said it was from their dad’s family side they never knew existed.
Andy walked towards Mickey to fix his tie. “You don’t look bad yourself, babe,” Andy kidded in her flirty voice, narrowing her eyes at Mickey before gagging kiddingly. She wasn’t so used to flirting.
Andy never tried to do it. She was so occupied during her high school and college days.
She dated once in college. It was in her Junior year. They dated for half a year until she learned that her ex-boyfriend Jed had only played with her. The bastard had betted with his friends, saying that he would make her fall in love and bring her to his bed in no time. Andy did fell on him, but he failed to bring her to his bed.
Luckily for Andy, the brother of Mickey’s girlfriend, that time, told it to his sister. Mickey found out about it and beat the living daylights out of her ex-boyfriend. Since then, she has never dared to get close and entertain any men in her life. Although she tried dating again, it never went to second meetups. It was either they bored her or she bored them.
A lot of people told her how beautiful she was. Admitting it to herself, she was as equally as gorgeous as her twin brother, and she had suitors and admirers too, yet nobody could swoon her around.
Mickey laughed, “Shall we sissy? You know the drill,” he said. They spoke about it, their endearments, and occasional hugs and kissed on the forehead or cheeks. He had already mentioned the names of the woman that might attack her, including their pictures. Andy almost backed out upon learning it wasn’t just two but four women she needed to watch out for.
Mickey and Andy drove to the hotel where the party was hosting. Getting out of the car, they both went towards the hall for the gala party. It wasn’t just a simple hall but a massive one. They stood in front of the double door.
Mickey held his twin’s hand. “You ready?’” he asked Andy.
“Yes, I am!” Andy replied, smiling at Mickey. “Let the game begin.”
Mickey and Andy went around mingling with Mickey’s coworkers. Like their blueprint, Andy was introduced as his girlfriend. Women kept looking and glaring at her as they moved around to socialize. They were all beautiful and stunning. She couldn't believe how massive and extravagant the gala was.
She knew how envious they were, especially when most of the guys shown interest in her even though they knew she was Mickey’s girlfriend.
Andy was having her moment at the table when Trisha approached the coworker who was tormenting her brother.
“Oh, so you're the new flavor of the month, I guess,” Trisha sarcastically blurted to Andy.
“Excuse me?” Andy asked as she sipped her wine. She was sitting alone at their assigned table; Mickey left to talk with his managers and superiors. Andy was already forewarned about this. She stood up and met the eyes of this Trisha woman.
“The fling of his month,” Trisha repeated.
“I’m sorry, a month?” Andy mockingly asked, “Michael and I are dating for nearly a year. Didn’t you know that? weren’t you informed?” She barked back softly, arching her brow. Andy mentally ticked off the dating script.
“Oh? Really? Did you know we had s*x about two months ago?.” Trisha gauche gracelessly.
‘What the hell? Was she that so desperate to trap my brother?’ Andy thought. She glared around to see if people have heard Trisha’s words. And they did! She’d seen sets of eyes gawking at them. They were maybe scooping about what could happen next.
Andy brushed it off and sarcastically chuckled. “Oh, did he? Because as far as I could remember, he never went home late, and….” Andy said, cutting off her words, nudging forward Trishas’s ears, “..that said night, we had amazingly hot and steamy sex...” she whispered before smirking.
Another tick from the script. Andy mentally noted.
Andy then leaned back, “So stop dreaming, honey,” and smiled smugly.
Trisha's face turned red as a tomato. Her wide brown eyes turned murderous. She knew that it was over; she will never win Michael’s heart. She did make a story about it, she seduced him that night, but he was a gentleman that he didn’t take advantage of her. It broke her pride. Nobody tried to resist her beauty.
Mickey noticed the ruckus and immediately went beside Andy.
“Oh, it seems you found a way to introduce each other,” Mickey coolly said.
“Andrea, Trisha, Trisha, Andrea,” Mickey said, shifting his eyes between the woman beside him.
Trisha couldn’t take the humiliation and storm out. Mickey then looked at Andy.
“Is everything okay?” He worriedly asked.
Andy tiptoed. Even on her heels, Mickey still towered her. “Yes, success,” she whispered. Andy then kissed him on his side of the cheek and smiled.
Andy knew people were looking at them. And their pretend scene went in their favor.
They continued partying as if nothing happened earlier. Andy talked and socialized with Mickey's coworkers and friends. Even other women who had hots for her brother receded and acted nicely with her.
Dancing and grooving time, Andy enjoyed blending with her brother’s friends. Half of the people were already tipsy and dancing their way to the stage. Andy and Mickey just took it lightly, still wary with their pretend. They even acted as real lovers by dancing closer. There was no harm to it; they were siblings. Yet somehow, she felt pair of eyes were watching her every move, but she shrugged it off.
Andy was a little bit drunk as she enjoyed the party. She was still wary not to say or call Mickey with his pet name. Afraid that their cover might blow up. She then decided to catch a breath. She told Mickey that she needed some break. Walking out of the hall, she then walked towards the outside of the garden. Finding an empty bench, Andy decided to sit down and breathe.
“What a beautiful woman doing here alone?”
Andy heard a loud, deep voice behind her, startling her. She then turned her head around. Andy’s eyes split as she saw the man of her thoughts since yesterday, the same cocky and arrogant man who barked at her at the office. Mr. Green eyes. As she called him.
The mystery woman didn't answer, and for a while, Damien thought he was talking to a wall. He must have shocked her. She looked frightened.
“I'm sorry for scaring you.” He apologized.
Andy then smiled at him upon hearing him said sorry. He did scare the s**t out of her,
“It was fine. I just needed the air. It’s overwhelming inside,” she explained. Then she turned her head back around and looked at the flowers and trees in front of her.
“And I'm sorry about yesterday. I didn’t mean to shout at you. Charlene explained to me that it was her fault. She didn’t tell she had an eyesight problem yesterday,” Damien explained to the mystery woman.
. Charlene spoke to him and admitted her fault, but it was too late to apologize, yet fate had played on him. He couldn’t believe he would see the mystery girl again at the party. She was looking stunningly hot and gorgeous in her gown.
He was one of the shareholders of this big hotel celebrating their annual gala, and he got invited to join. The moment he saw her inside, he wanted to talk to her, but the hotel employees surrounded her.
“Oh, don't mind it, no biggies,” Andy said, shrugging it. She was trying not to look back at him. He had somehow done an unexplainable effect on her.
Damien smiled and thought the woman had no interest in him. She didn't even bother to face him as he talked when apologizing. He knew she wasn’t alone at the party. She had been going around with the man he identified as the assistant manager of the hotel.
The mystery woman’s untroubled reaction towards him didn't stop him; Damien walked and sat down to the empty spot beside her. He then looked at her; her eyes met his.
“Daniel Davidson,” he said, offering his hand to her. He intentionally told her his second name. He usually does this with the woman he met at parties. His name was quite popular in the business industry, and he didn’t want to prejudice his identity by his first name.
Andy looked at the Guy sitting beside her. “Mikaela,” she said, taking his hand to shake. “Nice to meet you, Mr. Davidson,” Andy smiled, feeling the warm hands of a green-eyed man. ‘Daniel’ Now she knew his name.
His last name was so familiar she thought he could be a member of Davidson’s family empire.
“I got to go now. My br.. boyfriend must be waiting for me inside,”
Andy heaved a deep breath. She almost slipped her tongue. She didn’t wait for Daniel to answer. She then stood up and strolled her way inside to look for Mickey.
For some reason, Andy couldn’t understand what she felt sitting beside the man named Daniel. His demeanor and his impression seemed haywire her thoughts and senses. Unexplainable as it was. Impressive as it may seem.
Andy gazed her eyes around and found Mickey talking and having fun with his colleagues. She approached him, telling him she was ready to go home. Mickey nodded, acknowledging it must already be an exhausting night for Andy to stay longer. They bid goodbye to his friends, and they immediately left the place.
