"Hi, kids," my mom called as the twins and I filed into the house. We took off our shoes, and I led them into the kitchen. "Thank you for inviting us for dinner, Mrs. Winters. You have a lovely home," Raven said politely. "You are adorable; thank you, Raven," Mom smiled. She looked up at River, and her smile grew even wider. "And you must be River. It is nice to meet you both," Mom said. "The pleasure is all mine, Mrs. Winters," River said, kissing her hand. Mom blushed and muttered, "Well, isn't he a charmer." "Okay, you three, go to Sage's room until dinner is ready. I'll call you down in about half an hour or so," Mom said, shooing us out of the kitchen. On our way up the stairs, River murmured, "Usually, the parents tell me to stay out of their daughter's bedroom." Raven and
