"Stupid ball gowns. When I'm queen, I'm getting rid of them." The boys smile at me. Dipak looks at Tre. "So how much work is it to sit by her at these events?" Tre starts laughing. "It depends on how much she can see and how thick the dress is. That veil was thick tonight. She wouldn't have been able to eat anything if I wouldn't have handed it to her. Other than that it's just Mary telling us what to do. You learn to figure it out. I remember the first time I had to take her down some stairs when she was pretty much blind. She held on so damn tight. I thought I was going to fall with her." "I guess you've never seen how much work it actually takes. Tre has to do everything when I get certain gowns on. I can't even sit in a chair without it being pushed away by the dress. And Mary is amazing for telling us when to stop and go. Making sure I keep the look up. In ways it will be better now, in other ways worse." Tre looks at me worried. "How do you mean worse?" "Now we're going to have to watch my hair too." Both of us laugh. "Most of the time I have extra items she may need in my lap. Never know what's going to need fixed. Today it was the tear rags. Since someone couldn't stop crying." "I was to happy. And I stopped once I started eating. Oh yay. Diamonds. Sparkly." I put a diamond tiara on my head. "Oh yea and then there's all the extra accessories. You never know what's going to break." He gets a tool out his pocket. "Never go anywhere formal with her without one." He hands it to Dipak. "Once half way through dessert, I got handed a shoe to fix." We all laugh. "Jewelry is a big one. Lots of little clasps will snap. That has a little tool for bending metal. Works well to fix that stuff when you are in a time crunch." Dipak gives him the tool back. "It can be work. It can also be fun at times." "Sounds like it's more work sir." I glance around and shrug. "I am tired of unpacking. HEY MARY CAN'T WE JUST TELL THOSE SERVANTS TO DO THIS?" She comes flying in the room. "FINALLY!" "What?" "Little miss it took you nearly all day to figure out what to ask a servant to do. Yes, this is the stuff you tell servants to do." "That was a mean trick Mary." "Well you had to learn somehow. I'm going back to reading. I'm in a good spot. Where did you get this anyways?" "I borrowed it from Dipak. I haven't even got to read it yet." "Well it's good." "Don't spoil it... Mary." "Yes little miss." "How do I find a servant?" The boys start laughing and she nods. "I'll get them this time. That's enough lessons for 1 day." I stand up and stretch. "I think I'm tired guys. It was a long day of pointless unpacking. Why didn't either of you tell me to get a servant to do this?" Dipak says, "We were to busy being extorted to realize that princess." "Thank you both for helping me." "My pleasure princess." Tre walks out first and smiles at me. "It was actually kind of fun." "Yea it wasn't to bad after all. You have a good night princess." "You guys too. I'll try not to get us extorted tomorrow." I look at Mary and back to them. "No promises though." They both laugh and take off down the hallway. Mary leaves after a couple of minutes and I sit here, in the sitting room. Alone. "Well this is boring." I go through the bookshelf. I'm going to see Dipak. He said I can walk in. His bookshelf is already open. I peek in and he's sitting on the couch smirking at me. "You came. I didn't think you would." "So you opened your book shelf for the off chance of a random visitor?" I shut the shelf behind me. "I was hoping you would." I smile and sit down beside him. "I missed you today sir." He laughs. "I was here baby." "No you were in your paperwork all day and seemed distant most of it." "I was really bothered until we talked at lunch. I thought..." I kiss him. A gentle soft kiss. "I missed those kisses all day little miss." He moves me so I sit on his lap. I put my head on his shoulder and cuddle in to his chest more. He relaxes. "I love this." I smile and breathe him in. "We do need to talk baby." I draw shapes on his chest. "About what?" "About where babies come from." I sit straight up. "You were serious about that?" "Yes baby I am." I try to move off him but he holds me there. "Dipak I'm not ready for a baby." "I know that sweetheart. Someday yes, but not yet." I settle down and relax into him. "Ok." "Something happened last night and it shocked me." "What?" "I'll get there. Let's start at the beginning."
