I open my eyes and I'm in my office. Apparently, I got a new couch like Dipaks. My hands and face are clean. I have a clean dress on with gloves and a veil sitting on my desk. Mary must have cleaned me up after she drugged me. I stand up and nearly fall. My desk has some blood, water and a note.
-I'm sorry Princess. I had to. You were making yourself sick. -Tre-
So, he ordered Mary to drug me. "Nice Tre. When communication doesn't work, you drug them into doing what you want." I shake my head. I start feeling better after a couple of minutes, so I throw the veil on my head. I need to find some food.
Mary comes in with food and more drinks. "How are you feeling?"
"A little dizzy but its wearing off."
"Tre said you wouldn't stop or slow down. He was worried about you."
I shake my head. "He drugged me to get me to do what he wanted."
"The first time he ordered me to, I said no."
She hands me a paper. "This is the order he gave me. I didn't have to follow it but I chose to because of the signatures on it. He was upset and I know he was worried. I hadn't seen you in hours at that point, so I went with his judgment. I knew you would not be harmed because I would be the one administering. It was safer than him taking an alternate route."
"I understand Mary. You keep me safe. I know that." The paper has seals from my dad, Tre, Dracul, and Frode. "Dipak didn't sign?"
"No ma'am. He was quite upset about it. He kept saying you would pass out eventually and he will catch you when you do."
A little smile sneaks out.
Mary must have seen it. Her eyebrows shoot up. "What's going on with you 2?"
I smile again. "He has been really nice to me the last few days. When I seen him yesterday his eyes went dark. Who caught me when I fell?"
"Dipak did and wow, he was mad. I think it scared him that you dropped so fast. He started yelling at Tre. 'Your the one who drugs her and don't think to catch her.' He was not happy miss."
"He has such strong arms."
Her eyes get big and she sits down smiling. "Tell me everything."
I get ready to tell her and there's a knock on the door. She throws the veil on my head as I yell "enter."
Dipak comes in. He sits down and crosses his arms. He's pissed. "I will be working here for 2 days or until I cool down." He looks at Mary. "I'm sorry they made you drug her."
Mary nods, stands up, and leaves.
I watch him, all mad sitting there. "Are you ok?"
"Are you ok? Are you mad?"
"Yes, I'm mad, Dipak. But there's nothing I can do about it now. I don't think I'll be talking to Tre for awhile though. I mean. All that about learning how to communicate and he just drugs me to get me to do what he wanted." I stand up. "What was the point of any of it? I need to go back to work."
He follows me out of my office and we start checking on people.
A couple hours later...
"That's all I had left to do, Dipak. Seriously, 2 hours of work. They just couldn't wait cause I looked tired." We both sit down at the nurse's desk.
Mary walks out of a patient room and sees us sitting there. She turns around and goes into another room. That makes me laugh.
"What's funny princess?"
I shake my head. "I can't leave incase something changes for someone. But everyone is unconscious and there is nothing really for me to do. You don't have to stay here. We have it all under control now."
He nearly runs out. It makes me sad, but I didn't expect him to stay.
Mary runs over and sits down the second the door shuts. "Tell me everything."
I tell her everything I can think of. She's about to tell me what she thinks when the door opens.
Dipak comes in twirling his sword again. "You. Your office. We need to talk."
Mary's eyes are big again. She's glances at me. "Do you..?"
"I'll be fine, thank you Mary." I go to my office with Dipak.
He sets his sword down on a chair then shuts the door. No one else is here. He walks back and forth. "I don't know how to say this. Give me a minute, please."
I nod and watch him. He comes up to me and picks me up by my legs. Then he sits me on my desk. He is standing between my legs and I can feel how warm he is again. "No. Don't get dark eyes on me princess." He takes the veil off me and sits it down. Then he steps away from me and locks the door. "Why is this so difficult?"
"I'm sorry Dipak."
"Why?"
I can feel the tears showing up again. "I'm to young to really talk to."
"No your not princess." He steps in close again and wipes the tear off my cheek. "You're not at all. But your not old enough to feel the mate bond."
He steps back again. "Princess, I will not repeat any of this but never forget it because it is how I feel. You are an amazing beautiful woman. You are so sexy. It's hard not to like you or be turned on by you." I smile and tilt my face down. He pulls my chin right back up with his thumb. "I want what is mine and I will claim what is mine. So I will wait until you are of age to see if you're mine. Nothing serious will happen before that."
"Ok."
"But don't think I don't want it to." His eyes are completely clear. "Because I do want you princess. I want all of you. And you're going to see it sometimes in my eyes. I know you will. But I will not act on it. Not until I feel that bond. Do you understand?"
"Yes. Thank you for being honest. Do you think we'll be mates?"
"No way of knowing princess. But if we are," He steps in close again and moves a hair out of my face. His eyes are getting dark fast. "I will spend my life making you scream my name in ecstasy. I will make love to you every day and night." He leans in further and whispers. "I will make your body do things you didn't even know were possible."
His lip hits my marking spot and I lunge towards him. I throw my arms around his neck. "uhh"
He rubs my back. "He doesn't do anything to you, does he?"
I shake my head a little and hold on to him. I don't know what else to do.
"I'm sorry princess." He shakes his head. "If I were him," He tilts my chin up so I can see his pitch black eyes. "Your eyes would never be anything other than dark. Your beautiful eyes are amazing as black as they are right now. I would keep them this way, always."
"I..." I stare at him. I can't find words.
He smiles and runs his thumb over my lips. "As much as I don't want to. It's time for me to back up and calm down. I know you need to as well."
My brain is not working.
He backs up and I nearly fall off the desk. I must have lunged to far forward when he touched my spot. He catches me and sets me further back. "You ok?"
I nod and he chuckles. "Think about something, anything at all. That's not me. Think about those servants taking your dress off. No, don't do that. That's not right. Sorry." He shakes his head.
I start laughing.
He laughs too. "Sorry princess, I'm trying to calm down as well. Think about all those people you saved yesterday. Working right by the cliff like that. Think about smashing through my window, jumping out, and turning into a dragon."
"I'm grateful it actually worked. I have never tried it before and I've only been a dragon once."
"Did you like flying?"
"Yes it was beautiful. I would like to see how high I can go sometime."
"Can you fly with people? I noticed your dad could grab people with his feet, but I wonder if you can fly with people."
"That would be amazing. I could show people what it's like to be that high up."
"Just don't drop anybody." He makes a funny face and I start laughing.
"Your eyes are clear Dipak."
"So are yours, Nadine." He helps me off the desk. "I brought us something to do while we're stuck here." He grabs his sword off the chair as I put the veil back on.
About half way to the nurse's desk, he hands me his sword.
"What?" I reach out and take it. It's not his sword. It's not near as heavy. I hold it for a minute. I actually like it. The handle fits in my hand even.
I smile and he smirks at me. "I'm going to teach you how to use a sword princess."
