The sun slowly set, casting an eerie glow over the darkening arena. My heart began to race, my palms grew sweaty, and my muscles tensed. The entire pack had gathered around the yard, their voices alive with excitement for the coming battle. I craned my neck to see Damon and Lorana standing on a small square podium at the top of the arena, their faces calm and collected.
