Chapter Twenty-Nine Memories  ***Damon*** The stillness of the evening air was eerie and icy as if the world had come to a standstill around me. The night sky was a canvas of darkness, shrouding the world in a veil of dark secrets. I stood at the edge of the dense forest of trees and listened. I could hear the faint rustling of leaves in the distance, the signs of life in the surrounding darkness.
