19 ZEKE I didn’t feel I deserved God’s grace, but I went to church anyway—and I’d never been so uncomfortable in my entire life. The praise and worship team opened the service like always, and I wanted to leave. My feet flared as if they were on fire, like hell lay below the sanctuary’s floor ready to ignite every man and woman who defiled God’s word. But strangely, guilt didn’t eat at my guts.
