Am I a siren?

AT THE SAME TIME

AT ELIZABETH'S (ATLANTHEA'S) POW:

I looked at them and I saw that they had tails. I have never seen any creatures that have tails, so it looks pretty weird to me. I think that it does look strange and I do not like it.

-I do not have amnesia.-I said.

-Princess, please calm down.-One of them said.

I looked at her and realized that she have a tail and some sort of maid's outfit. I guess that she is a maid in this place. I was staring at her and then I realized that I have a tail too. Am I a mermaid? How is that even possible?

-Can any of you tell me where I am?-I asked.

-You are at your father's castle, princess.-One of the maids said.

I looked at her even more confused. Am I a princess?

-I do not understand.-I said.

-Let me help you get dressed up and I can take you to your father.-One of the maids said.

I nodded and let her do that. I think it's better to listen to them until I understand what is going on. I watched how one of the maids placed a dress on me and another one fixed my hair. I smiled a bit and followed one of them. We soon arrived in a big room. I think it was supposed to be a throne room.

-Hello, sweetie.-I heard a man's voice.

I looked at him and his appearance somehow reminded me of my father. He looks like him but in his younger years. I have no idea how that is possible, but at least I feel less scared. He seems to be a pretty nice person and I like that.

-Hello, sweetie. How are you feeling?-I heard my new father's voice.

-I am alright.-I said.

-I am happy to hear that.-My dad said.

-Do I have amnesia?-I asked.

-Why do you ask something like that?-Dad asked.

I sighed a bit. I can not make him too confused, but I want to understand what is going on.

-Maid said that I got amnesia. That is probably right, since I do not remember much-I said.

I saw how he looked worried at me and patted his bed. I nodded and sat down on the bed near him.

-You were injured yesterday, that is why you are feeling like that. You do not have to worry, my maids and I will take care of you.-Dad said.

-I understand, dad.-I said.

-That is my Atlanthea. I know that soon you will remember everything.-He said and I smiled.

I nodded and smiled back. I decided not to tell him what was going on, and this amnesia is going to help me perfectly hide my identity.

-So what do I like to do?-I asked.

-You love singing, playing violin and swimming obviously.-Dad said.

-I understand, but how did we get a violin underwater?-I asked.

-It was from a broken ship. You really liked it, so you have decided to keep it. -Dad said, and I nodded.

-Thanks, dad.-I said and smiled.

-Of course.-He said and nodded.

-So how are we living here? I do not remember anything about it.-I said.

-It seems that your head was hit harder than doctors have thought. You are a princess, sweetie, and you live in a castle with me.-He said.

-I see. So am I a royal? It's pretty cool.-I said in an excited tone.

-You are, sweetie.-He said.

I nodded and smiled. He seems to be like a nice person. I remember having a bus accident and that I was going back home. Could it be that I died that day and now I am reincarnated as her or something? I did nothing to become a mermaid or even a princess.

-Sweetie, are you thinking about something?-He asked.

-I was wondering if I could sing a song?-I asked.

-Of course you can.-He said.- Could you sing it for me?

-Okay, dad.-I said.

I watched how he sat down and I started singing a song. I never thought that 'my' voice was so pretty. It seems that I can sing pretty nice songs. It feels somehow like I sang it before. I am not sure how.

-Your voice is beautiful like usual.-He said.

-How old am I father?-I asked.

-You are soon going to be eighteen.-He said.

-I see.-I smiled.

-You know it means that you go out of the water at night.-He said.- You need to be careful.

-I understand that. I am so excited.-I said.

I can not wait to see my home from the sea. I wonder what is going to happen to my 'hut' after I died.

-Can I go to my room?-I asked.

He nodded and I followed the maid to my room.

-Can I have some time alone?-I asked.

-Of course, princess.-She said.

-Can you remind me of your name?-I asked.

-My name is Zoe, princess.-the maid said and left.

I smiled and looked around my new room. The room looks nice and clean, but I still do not believe that I am in a princess's body. I looked around the room and looked for more clothes and accessories. It seems that she was spoiled and I kinda like it. I haven't seen so many fancy things before. I started looking and soon heard a knock on the door.

-Princess, dinner is ready.-I heard a maid's voice.

-Where are we eating dinner?-I asked.

-In the main room, I can take you there.-She said.

-You can do that.-I said.

I waited until the maid came into the room and I recognized Zoe. She may be my personal maid or something.

-We can go.-I said.

She nodded and we swam to the main room. I saw there a big table with a LOT of food on it. I haven't seen so many things in my life. I sat down on my spot and saw how my father came after ten mins.

-Hi sweetie.-He said.

-Hi, dad.-I said.

-How are you feeling?-He asked.

-I am feeling good, dad.-I said.

-Let's eat it.-I said, and we started eating our food.

I was swimming around the castle and soon I found a library. It has a lot of photos inside, so it's pretty cool to look at. I was looking at the pictures and something caught my eyes. Under one picture was written text: 'Siren of the ocean'. In a photo I saw a girl, who was looking almost like me right now. She even had some of my previous human life features. Am I a siren? How is that even possible? I knew that I must find out what was going on. I must know who I am....mermaid or siren?
