Raelynn My blaring alarm clock woke me up. I accidentally knocked it on the floor when I jerked my hand forward to turn it off. I groaned and sat up, massaging my tired eyes with my hand. I could feel the gentle morning breeze wafting through my room. I turned to look out the window and saw that it was open, which surprised me because I always closed it before going to bed. I looked around my room to see if there was anything wrong, but nothing caught my eye. I let out a tired sigh and hastily made my way from my bed to the bathroom, throwing away my clothes as I went. I stood in front of the mirror observing my features. My eyes looked sunken, and my previously bright skin appeared pale and dull.
