Laurel genuinely thought she wouldn't be able to see the dawn again. She was not the kind to appreciate small things on a daily basis, as she had a lot more to worry about every day.
Yet this time it was a different story. When Laurel opened her eyes to see the ceiling fan above her, tears of joy filled her eyes, and the first thing she did was join her hands in a silent prayer to the goddess.
Someone saved her.
She was still alive.
Unless heaven or hell had white ceiling fans and the smell of strong disinfectant, she was positive that someone had brought her to the hospital.
"You are finally awake!" Someone spoke next to her.
Laurel flinched back in surprise. She squinted her eyes to see a woman dressed in a nurse uniform. It was confirmed that she was in a hospital.
