I left the hospital rather late, The doctor claimed my sister would be discharged in two days so I decided to head back to the office and I was on my way when I got a phone call; it was from Lily. At first, I hesitated but decided to pick after a couple of minutes.
"Hello," I heard her give an exasperated sigh from the other end of the call Immediately, I spoke into the phone.
"I wish you would not address me so coldly Eric, anyway...I can't pick Erica up from school and the driver just called me to inform me he had an emergency. Could you please pick her up? It's been a while you did that; she'll really like it if you do." She sounded so sweet over the phone that it made me smirk.
