CHAPTER 6: Grace/ John Evans. JANUARY. Yep, today is the day. A new chapter is about to start in my life. Starting my senior year, in a prestigious school as a guy. . . Life couldn't have been better than this. I gave myself a New Year's gift by getting a tattoo on the nape of my neck. It said 'Freedom' and Nathaniel inked it. Though I'm sad that it will be covered by the jacket I'm wearing today. I wore a simple white tee shirt and a black leather jacket, on the lower area I wore black jeans and combat boots. I covered most of my body, especially my arms as they are too skinny. The binder on my chest gave me the flat hard look which I wanted. To give me the last touch I wore a black leather strap watch that Nathaniel gave me. I also applied some make-up to make my features more prominent as a guy. I was thinking of doing some piercing on my face but Nathaniel said that it was a horrible idea and I shouldn't do it and for once I listened to him. I checked myself out one last time and went to the kitchen to have some breakfast. I was expecting Nathaniel, I needed him to drive me to the school. I heard the doorbell ring and as I was expecting it was Nathaniel. He looked stunned looking at me. "Holy f**k Evans! I couldn't recognise you for a second. You cleaned up so well. You look kind of hot." He said and I smirked at him. "I told you that I know what I'm doing. In this look, no one will even know about my identity or that I'm a girl. You were worrying for no reason." I told him and he nodded in agreement. I invited him and we both had breakfast together. "You look taller than usual, how did you do that?" Nathaniel asked me in a surprised tone. "Nathaniel Darling, I told you that I've done this a lot of time. Do you see these boots? They kind of looked normal but the insole is higher making me three inches taller than usual." I told him. "You are one of a thing, Evans, and did you change your tone somehow?" He said. "I'll take that as a compliment and yes, I've kept my voice in a neutral tone, not too grave, not too shrill," I told him. "Impressive. Looking at you I feel a bit of ease but Evans, try not to make any trouble for once and try to stay as low key as you can." Nathaniel advised me. "Okay dad," I rolled my eyes at him. He nodded and told me that we're ready to leave. "And Nathaniel, drop me at a distance from the school gate alright? If I let people see that you have driven me here I will lose my first impression. . . you know I want to make an image and my image is to be the bad boy." I told Nathaniel and he chuckled. Nathaniel and I chatted about random things and in a few minutes, he stopped the car. "Alright, bad boy. Just walk straight and you'll find an enormous building. That's Wildwood Enterprise Charter School. This is the Student Card that I forgot to give you. Remember the things that I told you and please don't mess things up." Said, Nathaniel. "Chill out, what are you yelling for? Lay back, it's all been done before. And if you could only let it be, you will see." I sang the Avril Lavigne song. "Evans," Nathaniel groaned. "Geez alright, fine Nathaniel. I will do as you said. I will create no problems and I will be a good girl. . . oops, I mean a good boy." I said and made a heart with my two fingers. "Stop acting cute, you're a guy now. Get that guy posture in your system." Said, Nathaniel. "Fine. Thanks for everything Nathaniel, I'll be leaving now. Don't pick me up, I'll get back home on my own." I told him and he nodded. Nathaniel drove away and I took my steps towards the school. My eyes widened as I saw the mesmerizing building in front of me. Nathaniel was right! This is some filthy rich place. The gate guards look so organized. Everything screams luxury and the environment was so calm and collective. Opposite from normal high schools. I showed my student ID to the car and entered the building. I saw many students entering through their expensive and luxurious cars. All the girls looked straight out of fashion magazines and all the guys looked so composed and serious. Wow, I feel so out of place now. I will never forgive Nathaniel, he intentionally got me admission here. What was the need to put me in an elite school? Why do I feel like I'm here to attend a business meeting instead of classes? f**k it, I can't do anything about it now so let's just go with the flow. I walked through a group of girls and I could feel their gaze on me. I didn't know where I was going so I decided to stop and asked the girl group. "Hi, do any of you know where I can get the schedule for the senior year?" I flashed a smile at them and they all swooned. Indeed my charm is working. I ran my hand through my hair. I saw the girls giving me a seductive look. . . maybe I can use them to get to know this school better. "Sure, I'll take you by the way my name is Lucy." Said a girl with platinum blonde hair. She extends her hand for me to shake. I shook my hand with her and she passed me a smile. I saw all the girls glaring at Lucy. "Thanks and the name is John. John Evans." I told her. "Are you new here?" Asked a girl. "Yeah, I just got admission a few days ago," I told her and they all nodded. "He's so hot!" I heard another girl whispering and suddenly they all giggled. Lucy cleared her throat to get my attention. All the other girls tried to talk to me but I was in a hurry so I requested Lucy to show me the school and the HR department. Nathaniel told me to meet Hano, the HR and Nathaniel's friend. Lucy. . . talked a lot all the way. I could feel my ears bleed because of her non-stop talking. I need to make her leave. "Alright, Lucy, thanks for showing me around. I think I'll be fine on my own now. I need to go and meet HR. I'll see you later." I told her. Unfortunately, I found out that Lucy and I share some classes. I passed her a smile and was about to leave when I felt someone wall slammed me. I looked at the person and it was Lucy. She put her hands on the wall and caged me. No one was passing by and it was just me and her there. What the f**k is wrong with her? Does she think this is a K-drama or something? I saw her passing me a smile and leaned towards me. I grabbed her shoulders and pushed her away to make some distance. "What happened John? You don't like me?" She asked and batted her eyelashes at me. I rolled my eyes at her hard. Ah, I get it now! She's bold and into me. I'm not having a good feeling about this. . .
