Fabian's face shifted from anger to shock as my words hung in the air.
He had probably expected me to get down on my knees and beg him again like last night, but truly, I had had enough.
This humiliation, this rejection, surely it was way worse than being without family? I didn’t think I could handle it like I’d initially thought. This was most certainly not going to work.
"If you don't want anything to do with me, divorce me, and let me go away with my dignity and sense of self-worth intact." I repeated, my voice firm, surprising me even further.
