(Penny’s POV)
Fabian was wise enough not to chase after me as I walked out of the restaurant, and as I got into my car, I sat there at the car park for ages, contemplating how my life had gotten to this and what I was going to do next.
Was I petty enough to become the bad guy in Fabian and Kira’s story?
Absolutely.
This was no moral quandary I was to mull over at all.
I mean, she started it first when she betrayed our friendship and went after my husband. I wasn’t disturbed about going after them at all.
It was just a regular case of payback time.
What I actually had on my mind was where to go next after here.
Whether to go home or head over to Maximo’s instead.
I mean, I did say that I was going to talk things out with him and see what was going to happen from there, didn’t I?
