Emily's POV I know my brother. If he wants something, he wants it now, and Marcus usually gets what he wants. So, I knew there was a reason he did not get married yet. But, where he is sitting now in my sitting room, he is not looking happy. "I think I will go to New York, and you stay with your husband and children. This is my problem, sis, and I can not ask you to go to New York on my behalf. Besides, I need to find a house there anyway since I will be moving my head office there one of these days," Marcus says. "Marcus, listen to me, do not act too fast. I know you. You will go straight to Miss Harrison's office and confront her. A mother with children is like a lioness. She will protect them no matter what! So let me go and first find out what happened all those years ago and why she did not tell you about the children," I say. "No, I want to know now! She must have known who I was. I had the right to know my children! If they are mine, but I will find out soon enough," Marcus says. "You want your green-eyed girl in your life or not?" I ask. Marcus thinks for a while, and I know he thinks about the woman than stole his heart all those years ago. "I don't know. But, when I saw the picture the little boy showed me, I felt my heart beat faster. Maybe I am obsessed with her because, for years, I have been looking for her. You know me. I always want what I can not have and will not stop until I get it, but after that, I grow bored of it," Markus says. I know it is true. Ever since we were children, Marcus would save money to buy a toy, and two days later, he is bored of it. In university, he would go after a girl until he had her, then a few weeks later, Marcus would leave her as he was bored of her. Maybe if someone does not give in to Marcus this fast, she would hold his interest. "Listen to me, bro, you are going to scare her away if you act too fast, and I have an idea she is not like the other women you had in your life. If she were, she would have tracked you down a long time ago, and she would have used her children to catch you. To me, it looks like she hid her children from you for all these years, so you would not find out about them and maybe claim them," I say. "Well, then she will pay for it! As a father, I have the right to see my children!" Marcus says. "Oh shut up! She did not know who you were, and maybe she thought you would not want the children in your life. Who knows what she was thinking. She just got divorced, she was most probably hurt, and she made a mistake by getting drunk and jumping into your bed. Then, she sneaked out and moved away to get away from her ex-family-in-law, which she most probably hated. I mean, they did kick her out like a dog! Maybe she did not want another man in her life, and you were a mistake. She did not know she was pregnant until after a few months, I guess," I try again. "So I was just a mistake! Wait a minute. She most probably hates her ex and his family. Miss Harrison warned me to get out of her way as she had no problems with me, and it was the Adams family she was after. Was she married to one of the Adams brothers?" Marcus looks at me with a frown. "I only know of Jack that left his wife for Angela Summers. I always thought he was crazy, although his wife was quiet and in the background all the time she was a pretty young thing, she dressed plain and simple, but she had class something Angela Summers never had," I say. Marcus takes out his phone, and after a while, he stares at the screen. "It is her, Lina Adams. Look at this. This photo was taken about twelve years ago of Jack and his ex-wife at a banquet. Look at Penelope Adam's face! She is looking directly at Lina, and you can see the hate in her eyes. Of course! Dammit, Harrison's daughter, married Adams' son. Back then, we all said it was to merge A&A and NH&R, the two most prominent companies in telecommunications. Well, I know now who she is. Why did she never go back home to her father? I heard the new CEO of NH&R bought out all old drunk Harrison's shares bit by bit until he was left with nothing. That night I asked her if I could drop her off at her parent's house, but she laughed and said, what parents? Maybe she and her father did not get along after the divorce," Marcus talks more to himself than me. "Then you took her to a hotel room, and the two of you got drunk and had s*x and made two beautiful kids together," I finish his thoughts. "Or it can be Adams kids," Markus says. "Oh please, Adams can not make kids as good looking like this," I say, and I push the newspaper of my children's school under his nose. Fifteen schools took part in the science competition, and the photo of the winner and a small article of the two of them was published in all fifteen of the school's newspapers. It was luck that both Lina's twins and my kids' schools took part in the science competition. Or maybe it was intervention from God himself. A simple photo can bring together two unhappy people. Marcus takes the newspaper again and looks at the two little smiling faces. I can see his eyes goes soft. "They are mine! I have no doubt," Marcus says at last. "So what now?" I ask as I want to meet the woman who stole my brother's heart ten years back and have his children. "Now, I am going to New York, and I am going to buy a house, there and hopefully, it is my children, and I can get to know them better. But, Sis, I can not expect her to return to a city where she has only known unhappiness. If I want her in my life and we can have a relationship. I am the one that will have to take the step. I made her pregnant, and although I had been looking for her for ten years and she was not looking for me, I can understand. She was hurt by a man that was not worthy of her. I will have to most probably fight hard to win her heart if I want her in my life. I am willing to offer up all I have here for a chance at happiness with her, my green-eyed girl," Marcus says. I am totally stunned. Since when does Marcus care about what others want except my family and me. For us, he will do anything. But here is my brother, the cold-hearted billionaire willing to uproot his life for a woman he had a one-night stand with and two children he is not even sure are his. Well, I am ninety-nine point nine precent sure the kids are Marcus', but who knows how she will accept him. "Why don't you let me go there first and make friends with her and find out what happened?" So I try one last time, but I know it is in vain as Marcus has made up his mind. He is very hard-headed, and he will not listen to me or reason. Like I said, if Marcus wants something, he will not stop until he has it. I am just afraid that this time he may not get what he wants so easily, and I know my brother. He is a dangerous man when he wants something. He will not mind playing dirty if he has to do it to get what he wants. Poor Lina Harrison has no clue what is waiting for her. Marcus wants her and the children, and if he wants something, Marcus gets it. She can spare herself a lot of trouble by giving in quickly and hoping Marcus loses interest, but I doubt that. If Marcus has looked for her for ten years, he will not let go of her. I sigh. "No, you have your husband and children to worry about. This is my problem. I need to go and sort this out by myself," Marcus says with a determined look on his face. Oh, no, I know my brother so well. He is going in full blast. "Marcus, listen to me handle this woman with care, do not get all upset if she does not fall into your lap like a ripe peach. She may not want a man in her life again, and you will have to handle her with care," I warn Marcus as I know he can use dirty tactics to get what he wants. "What do you mean by that, Emily? I always get what I want, and I will use any method to get what I want. Besides, women always fall into my lap when they hear who I am," Marcus says with a smile. "Well, not all women are the same Marcus, you may be rich and handsome, but some women are independent and are used to looking after themselves. She might have been hurt so badly by Jack Adams that she is afraid of relationships. In ten years, she did not have a man in her life, and what makes you think she would want one now? Or maybe she already has one in her life, and she is living with him," I say. It looks like Marcus is going to explode. "She better not have a man near my children!" Marcus says. "Calm down, bro. Do you see why I rather have to go and find out for you? You will make a mess of things. I just have that feeling," I say. "Have I ever made a mess of anything in my life?" Marcus asks, and he is furious now. "No, but you force things of on people sometimes, and it may not work with this woman. Besides, I want to get to know my niece and nephew. I am Aunt Emily now!" I say. "I want to see my children and get to know them, and Lina Harrison will have no choice or say in that matter. I will marry her, and we will be a happy family," Marcus says. "I give up. You are so bloody spoiled by women that will do anything for you that I bloody hope she gives you all your hell," I say, now angry at my brother that is so bloody arrogant! Marcus looks at something on his phone, and he smiles. Then he types something on his phone, and I know he is up to no good. He picks up his phone and calls someone. "Harry, my dear friend. I send you an address of a house I want in New York, make the owner an offer he can not resist. I like that house and no other, do you get it? Oh, and get me an office building close to the building where NH&R's head office is." Marcus says and listens for a while. "I want that house and no other, and I want it fast. You have a week, no matter what I have to pay," Marcus says and hangs up. "What did you just do?" I ask. "My trusted head of security got her address. So I am buying the house next to her," Marcus says with a smile. I sigh. "Marcus Green, one day is one day that you are going to get what is coming to you. I hope Lina Harrison gives you all your hell!" I say as he walks out to his car, laughing.
