"Hello, Uncle."

I sniffed, as the dial tone stops, and a beep follows as Uncle Wyatt picks up the phone.

"Did you cry, what happened?"

My uncle responds with worry lacing his voice, and I sobbed louder.

"I want to come back home, uncle. I am tired of giving my all and get nothing in return. No one loves me, everyone only gets close to me because of my money. I am tired."

I cried, heartbroken, and uncle Wyatt sighed.

"I told you to come back home three years ago, you refused, even now, I know you would hit the club once this call ends and in the next few days you'll bag another handsome young heir. Anyway, if nobody loves you, I love you as much as your parents did before they died. Who was it this time? Did he cheat?"

There is no way I am going back from my words this time.

"I'll tell you when I get back to Phoenix, uncle. I am tired, why is it so hard to find true love."

"Perhaps you're looking in the wrong places and for the wrong reasons. Come home Kimora, the company needs you. I also need to retire."

||*KIM CORPORATIONS*|| "Rehan?" "Where is Rehan?" A female voice calls, sounding irritated as she walks into the tiny office that looks like what couldn't accommodate over three people.  Yet whoever built the office sectioned it into six tiny cubicles that could barely allow the occupants of the desk to turn their body when seated. "He stepped out about five minutes ago." A brunette worker in the office space answered, peaking through the glass wall of her cubicle that demarcates her desk from the others. "When he returns, tell him the CEO requests his presence." The grumpy lady says, marching out of the small office space with her heels clinking against the floor and the staffs in the tiny office peek above their cubicle walls, sharing a knowing glance.  Without saying a word to each other, the staffs go back to clicking away on their keyboards.  A few minutes later, a young man in his mid-twenties dressed in an over washed white shirt, tucked into a faded blue jean and a brown dress shoe walks into the office, carrying a box. Walking over to the desk at the end of the office, he offloads the box on the floor, besides his chair and sets to sit down.  "The old bat came, she said the CEO requests your presence." Rehan pause midway with his back hunched and his eyes trailed over his fellow workers, wondering who the brunette was talking.  "Me?" Rehan questions pointing to himself and the brunette lady in her mid-thirties looked away from her computer screen.  "Is there a reason the CEO would seek anyone else presence aside yours, or do we have another errand boy in this office?" The brunette lady questions, rolling her eyes at Rehan who didn't quite understand the need for the hostility in her voice.  "Office Assistant, that's what I am." Rehan mumbles, embarrassed that his co-workers keep referring to him as an errand boy, no matter how many times he corrects them.  "Whatever, just go to them, before that old bat punishes us because of you." The brunette comments, and Rehan sighs, giving up the need to exchange words with her. "Who knows what he did this time. Did you break another coffee machine again? Or is it the printer this time?" The blonde girl, sitting at the desk across from Rehan ask, piping into the conversation. "That was a onetime thing, Juliet." Rehan mumbles, picking up his ID from the table before trudging out of the office, choosing to block himself from whatever negative things they had to say. Rehan can swear he is used to having his co-workers talk down on him all the time, it's like they do it because they despise him, yet he does not know why they would despise him.  He tries not to give any reactions when this happens, however, he wouldn't deny the humiliation he feels every time they talk down on him. Once outside the office, Rehan casts his head down as he hastens to the elevator, pressing the button to open the doors and he pushes the X floor button as soon as he steps inside.  A ding sound comes from the elevator as it stops on the executive floor, and Rehan steps out, walking towards the glass doors of the CEO's space.  "I am here to see....." "Just go in, she is waiting for you." The secretary says, without giving Rehan the chance to complete his sentence and the timid young man nods, pushing his glasses up his nose as he turns the corner that leads to the CEO's office.  With thoughts of why the CEO would request his presence out of the blue, Rehan pushes the office door open, forgetting to knock. The sound of the door creaking open causes an almond toned hand to pause its action midway, and a head turns to the sudden intruder at the door. "Oh, you're are here." A floaty voice says, acknowledging Rehan's presence and the young man snaps his head up to the sight of his CEO dressed in a white body-con gown. With one side of the arm falling off her shoulder, with the zipper pulled down to her waist exposing her back.  "Oh God. I'm sorry, I forget to knock." Rehan rushed out in panic, gasping as he turned on his heels, ready to flee out of the room.  "Never mind, come help me with the Zipper." The CEO says, unbothered by his presence and Rehan stood stun in his position. "M-ma?" The office assistant asks, hoping he heard whatever she said wrong.  The Blasian CEO eyes him him amusement before turning her back to him, sending Rehan into a fit of cough as battled with focusing his eyes on everywhere else but her glowing almond back.  "Help me with my Zipper, Rehan. Isn't that your name?" "Yes ma'am." Rehan responds, walking over to her with shaky hands and he dragged the zipper up with laboured breath while gulping down all the spit in his mouth.  "Ah, thank you, I almost lost my arm to that." Kimora Reynolds, the CEO of KIM CORPORATION, says, smiling at Rehan, who had a hard time looking her in the eye as he averts his gaze, heart thumping loudly against his chest.  Rehan has heard a lot about the new CEO, never did he think, he would be fortunate enough to meet her until his last days in the company.  Now seeing her for the first time, Rehan could bet his life that the tabloids did no justice with their pictures and description of what beauty she is.  He has seen his fair share of women in college and Kimora beats them at their game, her hooded eyes and smile stood out the most to Rehan.  There was something intricate about her asymmetric smile, the way on one side of her mouth raises and the other side pulled downward. He couldn't miss the dimple she had on one side of her cheek either, Rehan blinks repeatedly as he tries to get rid of the image of his boss' face playing in his head.  "You didn't come with my coffee." Kimora comments, walking around the table to get to her seat and Rehan snaps out of his self conflict. "I wasn't told, I would do that now." Rehan, says rushing to the door. "Did you ask how I like my coffee?" Kimora says tapping her fingers on her table, as Rehan pulled the office door open and he paused, turning to face her, completely embarrassed. "My apologies, how do you like your coffee." Rehan asks, casting his head down and Kimora smirks. "Keep it black, no sugar." Kimora comments, flipping open the proposal file on her desk and Rehan almost asked her why should want her coffee black. I thought women like sugary things. Rehan wonders in his mind, before pulling the door open and dashes out of the room, noting that he hasn't gotten the reason for the CEO seeking his presence. Without wasting much time, the office assistant hurried down the hallway into the CEO space and he pushed the office door open. "Your coffee ma'am" Rehan says, leaning over the desk, to place the coffee in front of Kimora, however one slip of his elbow across the desk surface has Rehan propelling forward and the coffee splashes all over the CEO's chest. Shock travelled through the office assistant body at the grave mistake he just made, and then realisation that he could lose his only source of income hits him.  "I'm so sorry. Oh gosh, pardon my mistake, ma'am." Rehan jerks from the table, pulling out a bunch of tissues as he rushes over to Kimora and with little thought, he dabs it over the coffee stain on her chest. Kimora didn't exactly expect the actions of the office assistant, so she freezes as his fingers brushed against the top of her breast, while he focused on cleaning the splash. "Mr Rehan." Kimora calls, clearing her throat and Rehan stills, eyes moving from her chest to her face.  "Are you a pervert, molesting me in my office?" Kimora mentions, and realisation hits Rehan like a bucket of cold water, eyes traveling from his boss face down to her exposed cleavage, and he gulps, jumping five feet away from her. "God, that was a mistake. I apologize. I wasn't thinking, please forgive me ma'am, I am not a pervert, it didn't even cross my mind that my hands were...." Rehan trailed off with his apology as he nods repeatedly, hoping the rumors he's heard about the CEO's short temper were false and he wouldn't get fired. "This is the third time you have apologised since you stepped into my office. Mr Rehan, how did the company employ someone as incompetent and clumsy as you?" Kimora asks, and Rehan gulps, casting his head down in shame. "I am sorry ma'am, it won't happen again." "Are you perhaps interested in me?" Kimora questions, smirking as she sees the shock appears on his face. "What?" Rehan couldn't fathom the right words to say at the moment as he gapes at his boss in utter shock. "Leave." Kimora instructs. "Ma?" "I said get out." The CEO says in a harsh tone and misdirected anger. "Sorry ma." Rehan mumbles, and he scurries out of the office. "Be glad I didn't fire you." Kimora mutters as the door closes behind him and she cursed, before standing up from her seat, walking over to the private room, behind the bookshelf in her office.  With conflicted thoughts and several other profanities escaping her mouth, Kimora changes her stained dress to another one. "Stupid heart, why must you want him." The CEO grumbles as she steps back into her office, her thoughts focused on how to make the oblivious man hers.
