Drew

(A Week later)

It becomes a routine for him to come and meet his Lana but today he was getting obnoxious and miserable its way to long for Lana to be in coma, sure it can take years and she might not wake again but he doesn't want to entertain that thought because he is sure she will be ok, his love and his prays will bring her back.

He pinched his nose, then why the hell he is feeling so tempestuous and hopeless. He kissed Lana forehead and whisper 'Babe waiting to see your beautiful green eyes so badly that now it physically pains me a lot. Just come back for me you know I love you'

Drew was so lost in his thought that after getting out the hospital room he almost hit his shoulder to Lana's father the business tycoon Ross Gavin, who was standing proudly in his two-piece Gucci suit with a broadening expression.

Drew almost cursed why he can't meet Lana's father in a good mood well apparently, now his mood surely can match with Ross one but Drew knew better Ross truly never appreciate his and Lana's relationship. As Lana was truly in a sense a daddy's princess whose every wish was fulfilled in a split of a second and Ross think Drew can't keep up with Lana's lifestyle which put drew in agony and in order to prove his worth and drew work day and night to show Ross he can be a much better businessman like him and to make Lana realized he can make her every wish true

But now it doesn't even matter any more, Drew sighs and raise his hand 'Ross. I didn't see you sorry for that. So how are you'

Ross shrugs 'My daughter is in the hospital for more than 10 months so you can guess (he dryly replied) so you are going or coming'

Drew raise an angry brow, he is not in a mood to take any bullshit from him anymore 'I come daily here luckily I spot you after a long time' he know he was poking a bear

Ross cold deep-blue eyes putting dagger into Andrew brown ones, Luckily Lana Mom came at the moment and she happily hugged Drew 'oh drew I knew you will be here, I told ross that even if we are late you will herewith lana'

Drew smiled to the kind lady 'you know i will never leave her alone'

Ross huff 'yeah never' he said slowly but drew heard it so does his wife and helen pass an admonished look to him

Ross shrugs and change the topic 'Why dont you tell him a very special friend of Lana come to meet her today when drew was not here what was his name (he think a little) oh yes James a very good friend of lana when she went to Australia '

Drew was furious what the f**k, the asshole james who put ideas in Lana mind to leave him, that same james whom Lana dated after their break up

'What the f**k he is doing here' Drew yelled

Helen flinched 'Ross I told you not mention james but you (She then look Drew) Drew I dont want to upset you but he is here for a very long time and we cant say no as he and lana were dating

Drew cut her 'yes they were dating past tense which means lana was coming back as a single women and what he wants know and why he wants to see her after so many months of lanas accident'

Ross step in and said 'He came immediately when he get to know about lanas accident I know it was quite late but like helen said he is here for a long time i think he is here around 6 months and living in one of her penthouse'

'You let him stay in the penthouse' Drew was shocked, why this James was given such importance by a man like Ross all of a sudden

Ross coldly replied 'because I can and I will do anything for my daughter, she was always fond of James and always talk a great deal about him and I met him before Lana accident he is a decent but a successful business man who is now holding a large group of photography and media firms all over the Europe'

Oh of course that's the catch, Drew can now also boast about his business and how its expanding but he know Ross will never consider him good and honestly Drew is tired of this game to impress him but what hurt him the most that lana let her parents meet james so early in their relationship so unlike his. He felt betrayed all of a sudden.

Drew absently said 'I think I will go I need to be some where else' he thinks Helen said something to him but he dont heard as the inner storm inside him was making him question everything else

Was everyone was right he is wasting his time on a person who moves on and forgets about him so fast. He cursed 'f**k i cant think like that Lana was confused, she was manipulated by that bastard, Thats why she was coming home' he node to his thought he should trust their love but his inner feeling saying something else which he chooses to ignore

Anna

Anna stop her cooking and turn the flame down and was startle when she heard her mother harsh cough sound in the phone 'mom you dont sound well, are you sick?'

Anna knows how her mother is going to change the topic and will brush it off like its no big deal 'sweetie you know I'm a big girl its just a seasonal flu nothing much forget it tell me hows your new job and your boss'

Anna was still not satisfied with her answer. Her mother is a sweet hardworking woman but very stubborn too Anna knew she will not rest 'Mom again you dont sound fine and my job is not something hi-fi that I should talk and same goes for my boss'

Anna cringed when she recalls Drew an angry face and how rude was he to her without any reason

Jenna can hear her daughter weird tone when she took her boss name 'annie whats wrong? is he not good to you, did he do something to you '

Now Anna feel worst to put her mother in worry she said in a cherry voice 'no no mom its great here even the money is much better i was just saying that this is not an ideal job but it pays the bill. Ok forget it so tell me you are taking some medicine. I think its much better to check the doctor you are getting sick again this is not a good sign mom' Anna said in a scared voice

She cant lose her mom she is everything to her, a part of will die if something happens to her mom who has nothing but a very turbulent life because of Anna. Her good for nothing father left them when he found out jenna was expecting with Anna. Till that date she and her mother become a constant support and friends for life.

Jenna try to comfort her 'Annie you sometimes act like you are my mom dont worry its a normal flu and secondly you will happy to know that i have an appointment today with the doctor and yes i also took a day off'

Anna took a relief sighs 'Thank god finally you are taking care of yourself. (Then Anna heard someone footstep she was confused who it can be) Ok mom i will talk to you later, I think some one came in , i will check'

After bidding goodbye with her mom Anna get out from the kitchen and saw non-other the boarding and cruel expression of Andrew Scott. She flinched when he was passing her hate looks like he cant stand her presence. She suddenly felt scared of that look and was stun that what he is doing here he usually dont come in this time, she always makes sure to leave before he came. At-least that's how she survives the past few weeks

She nervously looked him 'Hi, i thought it was some one else' she put her locks of hair behind her ear and saw how drew observe her action so intensely.

Drew arrogantly replied 'last time I check this was my apartment so i can come whenever the f**k I want'

Anna pass him a melancholy look, she fails to understand why he hates her so much, she just node and drop her gaze towards the shiny floor and said 'I just made your dinner, its still very warm if you are hungry i can serve you right now'

He sarcastically laughs 'yeah like you serve me in that little lunch cafe point , must say you did a great job'

She make a fist of her hands and was super furious how dare he to make fun of her like that. Oh god why she is even tolerating that, all she want to do slap the hell out of him and can leave this work but then she saw her mom tired face and she stop herself to do something reckless

She just turned and went back to the kitchen if he dont want to eat so hell with him. She look at the kitchen window and saw a little drizzling of rain , if she go right now she can catch a bus without getting drenched badly. She pick her bag and and remove the apron

'where you think you are going' Drew asked her

She dont look at him 'Home. Since you are here i dont think you will need me anymore . The dinner is on the stove you can have whenever you want' she said with a very control voice

But Drew was not having any of this 'First you wasted your time on the phone and now you are leaving early. I might not like you but im paying you hell a lot of money so serve me the dinner and im going to take a shower, i want you to wash my dirty clothes' He smirked

Anna knew he was testing her limits 'But its not a laundry day I always do at the end of the week'

He shrugs 'Well now you are making excuses and honestly speaking i dont give a f**k just do what i told you' he just not only order her but also make her feel like shit

Damn him she can feel the stupid tears and shake her head, she will not cry in front of this cruel man who just purposely hurt her.

She put the plates in the dining room and look at the time, if she start the laundry then she will also miss the bus and the way the weather its turning grey right now in a few hours its going to rain cats and dogs

She quickly went to his room and found his day clothes laying on the floor. WHAT A DICK

She grabs the clothes and went to the laundry room and put it on the washing machine. Then she heard the loud thunder voice and her doubts were right its really started raining badly. Oh god how she will reach her home. Then an idea came. Drew mom once told her there is a room for her too that she can use in case of emergency.

But did drew will agree on this, looking at the weather she should try her luck once

She saw Andrew eating in the dining room and was little awe struck how handsome he looks at that moment. She wishes he never open his mouth and stay like this as he looks a little human.

She stand beside him and try to say the right words 'I just did your laundry'

He stop for a moment but continue eating without saying anything

Anna sighs its now and never 'i...i actually its raining badly outside and i need to go home but

Drew cut her 'then go why you are bubbling here, im not here for a small talk'

Anna also lost it 'im not making any small talk im here to tell you that because of the laundry i miss my bus and now its raining so badly i wont be able to reach home so can i stay the night at that room your mom once show me to use in the case of emergency'

Drew wipe his face with the napkin and slowing push his chair and looked at her in an intimidating manner 'Its not my problem, you need to manage your time properly simple as that and secondly no you cant stay the night cause you are my worker not a guest. Just call an uber or something and go'

Anna winced how coldly he said all this, her melancholy eyes show how much she hate this part of her struggle where she has no choice sometime. Well he said it he wont let her stay then fine she wont beg.

Without saying anything she just grab her stuff and open the front door then she heard drew voice 'next time put less salt in my food'

Anna shake her head, why this man hate her so much why?

Drew

He was feeling terrible f**k he was so mean to her. First he got no idea Anna was here and the second he saw her in her simple pant shirt and how beautiful she looks with a flushed face and a cute pony tail hanging on her past shoulder, he again felt something in his manhood which is so rare after a year he got a reaction from any female after lana.

Well apparently that made him more angry on himself and he take it out on Anna, who at that moment look so confused and so hurt.

He flinched when he heard the loud thunderstorm, God the weather is really getting bad, he should have let her stay or he can drive her home but he acted like an asshole

Because when she said to stay the night all he saw how tempting she looks and how his body is reacting and if she stay one more minute he will do something that he will betray lana.

But what about lana, she didn't betray him and even he loves lana he doubts her love for him when she left him? His thought in vain

'no no dont think like that when lana will wake she will be his no matter how Anna make me feel its never love it's a body reaction, its better she is gone from here even its make me the biggest jerk of the year' Drew calm himself with a fake hope
