Prologue

It was 2:30 at midnight, that I got a sudden call from an unknown number, thanks to the increase in technology I could figure out who it was, it was my ex girlfriend, Flora.

Feeling reluctant to pick, I gave it a shot,

Hello' I said

"It’s me Flora" she answered, "I got your number from one of your neighbors, can you give me a minute, I need to tell you something, it's urgent".

Ok I replied, still feeling sleepy

What the heck does this girl want to say to me at this odd hour that can’t wait till tomorrow.

"Am pregnant for you" she immediately said.

Flora was my girlfriend , so I thought.

She was the spoiled brat that always looked for a way to milk out my money with her manipulation skills, The only thing she gave me that was valuable was the good hot s*x we had.

If that was not enough for her, three of my neighbors had slept with her. The news came as a shock, I was just 26 years old and still trying to make ends meet. And here was someone telling me about a pregnancy that might not be mine.

Oh Flora was messing with my emotions.

The day I caught her in the act with my neighbor, a married man at that, was the day I blocked her from seeing, entering my house and coming closer to me.I was heartbroken.From then, my emotions were solely based on having s*x with random people to clear that image from my mind. "Oh Flora, may you never have peace", those were the words I said to her. I guess I was indirectly saying it to myself because here she was trying to put another man’s child on me.

“Are you there” she asked,

“Yes am here Flora “ I replied trying to grasp the reality of this situation. “How sure are you that am responsible for that pregnancy Flora, don’t you think you called the wrong person, what of the other guy, you can’t just come after two months of our break-up to tell me am responsible for your pregnancy. Like give me a break “

“You were the only one who I slept with without a condom” she replied crying.

Fake tears if I could say.

“Like I said Flora, don’t call this number again, and go look for the father.” I said and hanged up the call
