Alexandra's P.O.V
I managed to get some sleep yesterday after the nightmare.
It was 5:30 when I checked the time. I got up from bed and headed to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and had a shower. Once I was done, I tied a towel round my body and left the bathroom to my closet.
I picked some black skinny jeans and a loose grey long sleeved shirt with a black heart in the middle. I grabbed a white beanie and finished everything with Grey vans. I was tempted to just wear my glasses but I decided against it and used contacts instead.
Once I was dressed, i moved to my vanity and used some makeup to hide my scars. God bless whoever invented makeup.
When I was done with that, i grabbed my backpack and walked downstairs just to be welcomed by the smell of pancakes.
"Good morning." my mom greeted.
"Morning." I replied taking a seat at the dining table.
My mom placed a plate of Pancakes in my face and I basically inhaled it.
I saw the smirk on my mom's face and I just rolled my eyes. Sue me for liking pancakes.
After eating, I grabbed my bag and said goodbye to my mom.
I picked my car keys and headed to my beautiful black mustang. If you're wondering how I have a mustang, it's because my mom is loaded.
She was literally a billionaire before she met my dad and took the position of Luna. Her family didn't really accept her being the Luna so we haven't heard from them since the escape.
Our house is huge but not a mansion, since it wouldn't make any sense as we're the only ones living in the house.
I drove off to a new hell hole for me. And the worst part of my hell hole is that Dale is there.
Hot and sexy Dale.
'Snap out of it.' I scolded myself.
Having a mate was never part of the plan. This would only spell trouble for both me and Dale.
Its every wolf's dream to have the perfect mate. Someone who will love and understand you. Someone who will Care for you.
Instead he got me. Scarred and messed up me.
I sighed when I was in the school's parking lot. I parked my car, picked my bag and got out.
The moment I got out I could hear people whispering about something. I could tell it was about me because they were all obviously staring. A bitter sense of deja vu washed over me. This was just like silver shadow. .
Doing my best to block them out, I went to my locker to get my books. By the time I got them, the first bell rang. I sighed and headed to class, taking a seat at the back. Even though the bell already rang, the class was still kinda empty.
After a few minutes the class gradually filled up. Dale walked into the class and I mentally groaned.
He smiled in my direction and I felt my cheeks heat up. It took a lot of strength not to smile back.
I averted my eyes and stared at my desk instead. Of course he took the seat beside me. Just great.
'mate smells good.' my wolf chimed in my head.
'why can't you just shut your hole.' I groaned.
Dale did smell good. A pine and mint scent. The teacher finally started talking and I pretended to pay attention.
Trust me there was no way you could pay attention with a hot guy constantly staring at you.
Forty whole minutes was how long it took, but it felt like years before the bell rung. With haste, I grabbed my books and dashed out of the class.
I was about a foot away from the class when my books went tumbling down. Luck was not on my side today. I groaned and bent down to pick it but they weren't there.
Instead I saw a pair of black shoes. The person who picked my books was in a squatted position. My eyes went up to find his face but stopped at his lips. I swallowed the lump in my throat when I already knew who it was. When I finally met his eyes, I thought my heart would stop.
"You dropped these." he said handing me my books. I took them from him and in the process, my hand brushed against his.
A gasp left me when I felt sparks.
"Static electricity..." I said still looking at my hand that brushed his.
"Yeah...sure that what it is" he said chuckling. "I was wondering if you would like to hang out sometime, maybe grab a coffee or something...." he said, his voice trailing off.
"Sometime..." I said "I'm really busy presently, maybe another time."
"Oh, okay. Sure. Umm...see you later" he said lowly.
I felt a knife jab my heart at his tone and my lips moved on their own.
"Tomorrow." I said. "I have a...doctors appointment after school today."
"Great!" he said with a grin. "See you later." he said and walked away.
I face palmed myself once he was out of sight.
What did I just do?
*****
"You!!!" Isabella screamed and jumped on me on my way to the cafeteria.
"Hi?" I said trying to throw her off me.
"Don't you 'Hi' me. I haven't seen you all day." she said still on me.
Suddenly I felt her weight being lifted off me and I saw it was Anna.
"Are you trying to kill her?" Anna said as she put her on the ground.
Bella rolled her eyes then glared at me. I rolled my eyes at her too.
"But seriously Lexi how could you?" Bella said as the three of us headed to the cafeteria.
My nose scrunched at the nickname. It was already annoying whenever my mom called me that, it was no different for Bella.
"I hate nicknames." I stated.
"Well too bad miss doom and gloom." she said.
"You'll get used to it, trust me." Anna added with a smile. "Plus Alexandra is kind of a mouthful."
I sighed then caught an all too familiar set of blue eyes sitting at our table.
Anna, Bella and I got our food then sat with the boys. I sat in between bella and Anna.
They all started talking freely about school and stuff I really didn't care for so I just ate my food ignoring them.
Once lunch was over we all headed to our classes.

When I got home, the house was empty. I went up to my room and placed my bag beside my bed. I washed my hands then took out the annoying contacts I was wearing and replaced them with my glasses. I was probably the only werewolf who needed glasses. Just when I was about to relax, my phone rang.
"Sweet heart I can't come pick you up, can you meet me at the hospital?" my mum's voice said through the phone.
"Sure." I replied though mentally groaning.
I grabbed my car keys and headed to the hospital where my mom worked.
She greeted me at the reception and pulled me to a room. The nauseating stench of chlorine was ever present.
A doctor was in the room. A man who looked to be in his late forties with some patches of grey hair here and there.
"Hey doctor Mason." I greeted.
"Her Lex." he said with a slightly wrinkled smile.
Again with the nick names. Was it really that hard to say Alexandra? It was either 'Lexi' or 'Lex' or worse 'Xandra' but knowing he wouldn't budge about the name, I said nothing.
"I'm just gonna run a couple of x-rays and check if they're healing properly, okay?" he said and I nodded.
It was a routine I was used to.
He was my personal doctor since my mom and I left silver shadow. The doctor was human but he knew about our kind. One of the very few humans that did.
After a couple of tests, he began inspecting my leg.
"Its healing properly, there's no need for a cast. But I still advise you use one. Just in case." he said. My healing was considerably slower than other werewolves or vampires so my leg was taking a while to heal.
"If it isn't compulsory, then no thanks." I said.
"Come back next week for another check up." he said with a sigh.
Like I had a choice. I nodded to be polite.
"Ok darling, i'll be home a bit late today. I have to work an extra shift." my mum said. "You can cook whatever."
"Ok." I said "Is there....?" I started knowing she understood what I meant.
"Yes there is, a full stock in the other fridge" she answered.
"You know i'm here right." Dr Mason acknowledged.
"I know." mom said with a small laugh.
Dr Mason rolled his eyes and left. I followed my mom out and said goodbye before leaving.
I collapsed on the couch the moment I got home. Having nothing better to do, I turned on the tv. After minutes of searching for something good to watch, I settled on adventure time.
Finn and jake were listening to one of the ice king's many terrible songs about princess bubblegum. Gunther was there as always.
Once the episode was over, I turned off the TV and went to my room. I fell flat on the bed and stared at the ceiling for long moments. Suddenly a thought entered my head.
I have a date with Dale tomorrow.
'you know you want to.' the mutt in my head said. 'if i'm a mutt, then so are you'
Like I have time to argue with a voice in my head. I ignored her and after some time I dozed off. .
Dale's POV
You know that feeling when fireworks are being lit inside of you?
'What!!??!'
Ok that wasn't the best example but I can't describe how happy I feel right now. Alex agreed to go out with me.
People must've seen me grinning like an i***t because they all looked at me like I was crazy.
"You okay?" Tyler shoulder bumped me in the hallways.
"I'm great actually." I almost sang. Absolutely nothing could ruin my mood right now.
"Should I be worried?" he asked.
I rolled my eyes at him and we both entered the cafeteria. We got our food and sat at our usual table. The girls weren't there so we were alone.
"Why you so happy anyways?" Tyler asked.
"Sorry but i'm not in the mood to tell you." I still didn't feel like it was the right time to tell him that I met my mate.
He rolled his eyes and turned his head back. It was then I realised the girls were here. His eyes were locked on Anna the entire time. Suddenly I remembered the time before they found out they were mates. Anna and Tyler were always at each other's throats. After mating, they became inseparable.
Alex was behind Bella and our eyes locked for a short second before Alex shifted her gaze to Bella. They got their food then came over to the table.
Bella was nagging about her getting an unfair grade on a pop quiz. She says she deserved an A+ but Instead got an A. While I got a C on that same test. The nerve this girl has to complain. At some point my attention diverted from the conversation to Alex who sat quietly eating her food. She was too cute for her own good.
We finished eating and went our separate ways once the bell rang.
