I sat through the meeting using Sam as a serious distraction. I was struggling to cope with the fact Gio was back. Yet he had not even thought of letting me know. He had seriously gone down in my estimation as a decent man. He did a disappearing act on me, leaving without the decency of an explanation, or even simply letting me know, allowing me to come into work and find out here. And then when he decided he would do a magical reappearing act, he didn’t think it would be nice of him to give me a heads-up to let me know he would be in the office.
I didn’t know what to think. He clearly didn’t care about me the way he says he did, or he may have given me some more consideration. Or am I being selfish? I don’t know. But I do know I want to speak to him when the meeting ends. I could feel h
