10 I try not to panic. But I need answers. I need to find out what the hell’s going on. I pick up my mobile, go to my calls list and see his number in my Recents list from Saturday morning. I tap the number and put the phone to my ear. It seems to take an age to connect, but eventually the phone starts ringing. It rings and rings, but there’s no answer. No voicemail, nothing. Just the constant repeating ring. I hang up the phone and put it back down on the desk. A few seconds later, I pick it up again and redial the number. The same thing happens. It rings and rings. I can feel myself getting short of breath and I know I need to stay calm. Having a panic attack now isn’t going to do any good.
