Finding a New Home

Daceon was true to his word and was waiting for me when I stepped out my front door that morning. He smiled that smile and opened the trunk for the single bag I was taking with me to his pack. I looked back to my parents on the porch waving to them before I was set to get into the back seat with Daceon. Mother was crying while father stood there stoicly trying to be the strong one for her. I will miss them, but this is what life is all about as a wolf, and they knew that. I sat in the back seat snuggled up to my mate. Peace was enveloping me and I started to doze off. While I slept being held by my mate, I could hear voices, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. Little did I know, Daceon was making preparations for my arrival, and they weren't the preparations I had been dreaming of since I was a child. When I woke, Daceon was smiling at me, like he knew something I didn't. It gave me a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. I asked Daciana her thoughts, but she fully trusted Daceon and his wolf. I trusted her instinct, that was my downfall. We arrived at the crescent moon pack. It was a beautifully designed compound. It was built like a family compound. Daceon said they did that intentionally because his pack was his family. I admired him for that. We came to a stop in front of what looked like a mansion. It was the pack house, where I would not live with this gorgeous man the moon goddess gifted me as a mate. I was on cloud nine. That was before I learned the truth behind my fate with my mate. Daceon took me inside and began showing me around. He took me towards a set of stairs leading towards a basement. I hesitated for a moment before he smiled at me with that smile I loved so much. "It's okay little mate, this is the last stop of the tour before I show you the rooms for all the ranked members and their families." He said it so smoothly, who was I to doubt him? I took the decent down to the basement where what appeared to be cells were. This must be some sort of dungeon where prisoners of his battles are held, I thought to myself when I was suddenly shoved hard to the ground. Before I could look up, the cell door was locked right behind me. I looked up to see that same smile, the one that had just made my knees go weak at the top of these stairs. I was confused, not understanding why he had shoved me in there and why he was smiling now. "What are you doing?" I asked with so much confusion. "Why, little mate, I wanted you, but I don't want you to make me weak. This will be where you stay here in my home. This is your new home. I will use you as I sit fit because our bond gives me strength, but I cannot be the feared alpha I am with you as my mate out in the open. You see, this way I can do as I please, take a chosen mate as my Luna, and still feel everything with you. Won't this be so much fun little mate?" "Why, why take me from my home just to enslave me in your dungeons? I will just reject you. What is your last name?" "Little mate, don't you see? I will never give you my full name. You will never be allowed to reject me because you give me strength. You will be hidden down here, feeding me strength, and being kept safe from anyone who may want to hurt me by using you. It's a perfect situation for us." "How is this perfect Daceon? I am locked away in here while you do as you please? How is that fair to me or my wolf?" "I am not Daceon to you, I am alpha. You will no longer call me by my name. To make things fair, I will inject you with small amounts of wolfsbane to make sure your wolf isn't so aware of what is happening if that helps ease your thoughts." With that he walked away as if I didn't matter to him at all. Five minutes later, a nurse came down and shot what I would assume to be wolfsbane into my arm. As I screamed out in pain from the burning it caused me, the nurse kept apologizing. She looked at me with sympathy as she walked away. I laid there crying, apologizing to my wolf. "I am so sorry Daciana, I should have trusted my gut." "It's okay, I trusted him too, Katerina. I don't know how much longer I will be able to hold on and stay here with you. I promise to do all I can to heal you and protect you from all that is to come." "I love you Daciana, I'm so sorry." After that, everything was quiet. I drifted into a sleep after crying for what seemed like hours. What is he going to do with me?
