“They did an excellent job,” Ellis said as he and Martin left the theater. “Especially with the sets and costumes.” Martin chuckled. “Trust an artist to home in on those more than the singing and acting. I agree though, they were well done.” Ellis hummed one of the songs while they walked back into the Quarter, smiling as Martin joined in. When they reached Bourbon, Martin suggested they stop for a nightcap before heading their separate ways. If he had said anything but ‘nightcap’, Ellis wouldn’t have hesitated to agree.
