Helen after meeting Lily and hearing the event of things from her excused herself to have a proper bath which was longer than she intend for it to be; Helen, water being her element found serenity just soaking herself in the water and leaving her mind blank, after she had pulled herself a casual dress of top and black trousers, she made her way down to the sitting room where everyone was still hearing tales from Lily about how silly Dylan was throughout their trip. Dylan though embarrassed decided not to give Lily that satisfaction and laughed uncomfortably before Helen made her presence known to the room.
“Helen” Dylan called with a doting look and a warm smile spread across his face. Helen walked down the stairs and moved to give him a warm hug.
“I’m glad you could make it” Helen muttered to his ear before releasing him and walking to sit next to her mate.
“Nina, I’m really glad you can join us…I’m sorry about your father” Nina shifted inconveniently at the mention of her father who was murdered by her step-brother Claus, recalling just made her mad.
“I know it’s painful but you have to stop fuelling yourself with so much hatred” Helen spoke softly but Nina only scoffed.
“I’m not an angel Angela…I’m a demon and that’s what we deal with, anger and hatred so don’t expect me to act all well” Nina retorted trying not to flare up but her grief was well understood.
“She’s just tired, I’ll lead her upstairs to have a proper rest” Dylan volunteered and led Nina away but then Helen’s eyes fall on a strange looking girl sitting right on the dining table and devouring their food. Her fingers slowly grow icicles as she walked closer to the strange girl and before she could aim her with icicles on her fingers Alex stopped her.
“Her name is Andrea; she was saved by Nina and Lily while trying to commit suicide. She’s harmless” Alex claimed but that just made Helen frown.
“How could you be so certain that she’s harmless?” She turned to Lily on the question and Lily sighed.
“Trust me it was the exact same question I asked him” Lily pointed at Dylan who had instigated they bring the girl with them that she could be helpful but it didn’t sit well with Lily and Nina doesn’t really care, she was a demon and she would have been bias if she decided to take any sides.
“She’s homeless and helpless and she sees herself as a monster because she has a tail, she doesn’t even know what she is when we met her…how could she have been dangerous?” Dylan defended and Helen narrowed her face at Dylan then sigh.
“Well bringing her here is still a terrible idea-
“What will you have me do? Abandon her again like everyone did to her?” Dylan retorted with a frown on his face.
“I didn’t say that-
“Then what are you saying exactly-
“I’m sorry” The girl suddenly voiced directing the attention back to her.
“I really didn’t mean to cause any misunderstanding between you and your friends. I would leave if you want me to” The strange looking girl with tattered hair dirty face and tattered clothes volunteered. She had no shoes on and like Dylan claimed she was really looking hopeless and helpless.
“It’s alright; as long as you’ll behave” Helen concluded walking back to her seat where her mate had also returned to watching the banter silently.
“Rose, why don’t you take Andrea in and give her a change of clothes and probably new shoes” Helen instructed giving the girl uncomfortable glances before turning to the rest of the group who were all quiet and waiting for her to arrive at a conclusion.
“I have something to tell you guys and I know you might not really like it but I think you all deserve to know” Helen started and Alex throw her a knowing look guessing what exactly she might intend to announce.
“Helen no, you don’t have to say this out loud; you could spike fear in their hearts” Alex said the last part in a whisper that had almost all the present members of the group frowning.
“We are angels Alex, we can still hear you” Jasper said knowingly and Alex sighed.
“It’s alright” Helen assured holding her hands letting him know she was ready to face it.
“I’ve been in contact with my sister” They all don’t look surprised though.
“I’ve been guessing” Garnet voiced with a mouthful of cereal.
“I mean most of your decisions these days couldn’t have been made without any other factor involved, I’ve been guessing and since you did tell the queen once that princess Angelique spoke to you so we’ve known since then that she could actually communicate with you, it’s not that much of a big deal is it?” Garnet asked with his mouth free this time while wearing a nonchalant look on his face.
“Apparently, there is a slight problem with that…I think my mom being at her weakest gave my sister the chance to surface so she knew she’s in Crystal’s body and when she tried to communicate with me she figured I also know about it, she’s pretty furious” The news had everyone going silent.
“But that’s not our biggest concern right now, our biggest concern is that Crystal was attacked yesterday and if my sister hadn’t surfaced they would have both being dead. So, per Lily’s opinion we decided to talk to my sister after she takes control of Lily’s body again and until we figure out how…we need to find a way to keep Crystal safe” Helen concluded leaving most of their mouth gapping.
“What if she goes crazy and tried to kill us all?” Ruby panicked but Helen only let out a sigh.
“She doesn’t possess her powers yet, her body still lies in her tomb in angel Bay, she also need our help to claim her body…since we haven’t heard from inside the walls I’m guessing my brother’s have not being able to retrieve the body yet” Helen said crossing her leg as she sink into the chair while glancing from one angel to the other welcoming ideas.
“And do you think it’s really safe to play it that way, I mean…It’s princess Angelique we are talking about even without her powers she cannot be underestimated” Pearl voiced her opinion.
“She has figured out anyway, it don’t seem like we have much of a choice here, the only choice we have is open up to her and try to talk…it’s our only option but how do we keep Crystal safe until we figure out how?” Helen reiterated the question before Rose returned with a newly transformed Andrea, who would have guessed she was such a pretty fine lady with extremely gorgeous sleek looking hair. She had freckles on her face but that doesn’t take away from her beauty at all in fact he made her even more peculiar.
She was in a white gown with stone embodiments, she looked transformed with her new look, compared to the girl in rag which they had all seen.
“We might have a solution to our problems” Lily announced giving the girl a warm look for the first time.
“The problem is angel being around the girl will draw demons to her but what about demon being around her” Everyone seems to reason that staring intensely at the girl and making her uncomfortable.
“I don’t know” Helen broke the silence not wanting to buy that idea.
“I don’t think I can just entrust the girl I met in a day with my sister she’s-
“Don’t sell yourself out, she might have no idea who your sister is” Alex whispered into her ear and everyone close enough to hear nodded in agreement.
“But-
“I know you have a hard time trusting people, but if you don’t give people a chance. You’ll never know if you can trust them” Lily told Helen who was now looking somewhere else for the first time since Andrea came back into the sitting room.
“Pearl, why don’t you tell Andrea the plan we have for her while we talk to Helen” Lily instructed and walked Andrea to the lounge with Ruby and Rose.
“Helen this is a perfect chance, don’t screw it…also, I think you should write a letter to the girl; I heard you’ve gotten quite close to her, write a letter with invincible ink, that way she would know of your plan to protect her” Lily advised and Helen nodded.
“But how would write a letter with an invincible ink?” Helen questioned while Lily meet Alex’s eyes, Helen doesn’t know so much since she didn’t grow up in angel Bay.
“Bring out your wings” The command sounded strange but Helen did it anyway, immediately she sprouted her wings…Lily plucked one making Helen grimace painfully as it had hurt.
“Use water as ink, that way no ordinary eyes would be able to read the letter…but the problem now is? How will you deliver it to her?”Lily calculated.
“Leave that to me” Helen wore an assuring smile as Lily handed her the feather.
