Crystal chased the lady to the end of an alleyway but couldn’t find her she knew she had lost her. ‘She wasn’t walking that fast? How could she have disappeared?’ Crystal couldn’t stop asking herself these questions as she panted trying to catch her breath. Up on the two buildings that made up the alley Crystal was, were four different people staring down at her. Princess Angela of Angel Bay, her mate, her cousin, and guardian, for months she had been searching for her banished sister which she had been tracking by the help of her cousin Pearl who was an angel of light.
“We found her” Angela voiced as tears of joy surfaced in her eyes.
“Are you sure?” Lily who was the princess's guardian asked and Angela nodded.
“She could see me, she could see me” Angela sounded excited as she stared at the lost Crystal who was now turning back towards the direction of her home.
“But how can we be sure it’s her? Any angel can see you, she might not be princess Angelique…she might be any human angel who has the ability to see our kind.
“No, When our shoulders almost brushed I felt it. I felt her aura…she is there. I can feel her” Angela ascertained.
“I can see another string of soul inside her, I agree with the princess. She really is Princess Angelique” Pearl alleged and Lily sighed. The Angel resistance is a group of angels who had escaped the wrath of the hybrid angel Vera who at the time sat on the throne of Angel Bay, princess Angela and her friends being away from home when Vera stormed the palace of Angel Bay was able to escape from her step-sister’s wrath though she blamed herself as she thought she could have avoided it before her power started fading. Vera knew the angels were too powerful to be conquered with their powers still active, so having studied them her whole life unleashed chaos into the human realm to limit their powers, though her angel power was affected as well but her demonic power got stronger as chaos grows. Princess Angela looked into her hands feeling her energy slowly draining as Chaos increase in the world, there was nothing they could do about it since they wanted to keep their existence a secret until they were able to bring princess Angelique home. She knew they had only survived on the little amount of power fluid secreted into their body because they were no ordinary angels, they were phoenix angels…the highest power ranks of angels. Angela sighed and turned to face her mate who held her hand in assurance.
“Everything would be fine” Alexandrite Fotia, princess Angela’s mate and a fire angel having come from the Fotia family of angels.
“I worried for my mom Alex, if her power is as weak as ours I wondered what type of pain she’d be in, she's helpless-
“She’s not…she’s got you, and she’s got her” Alex gestured his head towards the direction Crystal had taken home as he caressed the princess's cheek’s with his palm. Angela lean into the touch and smiled. Princess Angela is a young lady of 22years born into the angel royal family and spent almost her entire life as a human but by accident, she found her true nature. Princess Angela turned back towards Crystal, though she was quite far…she could still see her…as an angel she could see and hear miles away as an adaptive feature to their ability to fly.
Crystal couldn’t believe what happened to her as she hastened her way back home, as much as she tried to convince herself that whatever happened back there wasn’t strange, she knew what she saw, it was like any other thing. She walked past their driveway, then unto their pouch then wish to God the door wasn’t unlocked but unfortunately for her, it was. Crystal's parents had a successful career, her mother was a nurse and her father was the CEO of their grandfather’s company, which might not be a big one but was doing okay. She doesn’t see her father until it’s late at night and her mother was only around when she’s off duty and for the door to be unlocked; it meant one thing to Crystal and she doesn’t really like the idea. One of her parents was home and she was in to be scolded, apparently, she was wrong, it wasn’t just one of her parents that were home, it was two of them.
“Please tell me you didn’t come home late again because of detention” Violet Hawkins pleaded to her teenage daughter who just sighed as she glanced from her mother who stood at the hallway connecting the door to their sitting room at the other side was the stairs that lead up to their rooms.
“Hi dad” Crystal waved to her father who heaved a heavy sigh before turning to her with a disappointed look.
“Come on guys, don’t give me that look…I did a very noble thing today, I saved someone” Crystal smiled heading for the stairs.
“And get into a fight like usual?” Violet sighed staring at Crystal who was trying to escape from their ranting, considering the fact that Violet was still in her nurse uniform, Crystal guessed she must have just arrived from work, if only she had made it home sooner.
“When will you grow up?” Crystal's father Hayden voiced and Crystal halted by the stairs.
“Dad just give me a few more years” Crystal earned a haughty look from both her parent at her response. Though she always causes them trouble, she was still very close to her parent, Crystal wasn’t their only child though, she had a 7year old brother named Jayden but if she was correct he was probably stuck in his room playing video games. Crystal heaved a heavy sigh of relief after she was back in the comfort of her own room, though she was stuck in her rooms most of the time, her room’s always clean and tidy, bed neatly arranged, books and clothes properly kept. Crystal immediately changed into a simple top leaving her pants as she pulled back her hair. Knowing her parent was likely to call her to come down for dinner soon, she strode down the stairs in time to help her mom set the table, just as soon as she was done, she heard her little brother sluggishly making his way down from the stairs.
“If your little brother wasn’t staying with Carina he’ll probably have starved to death while waiting for you to come home, why can’t you be responsible Crystal?” Violet sounded upset but Crystal knew better than to talk back, it’ll only make matters worse.
“Hey small guy” Crystal decided to distract herself by her little brother’s presence who walked up to her in his striped tee’s and shorts, giving her a fist bump before taking his seat at the dining table, apparently, she was pretty close to her little brother too. Jayden also known as Hayden Junior was a complete replica of their father, the same Hazel eyes, Auburn hair, round face, nose shape, even lips shape, everything was alike about them well except for the character, In Crystal’s perspective, Jayden was more fun than their father.
“The only reason I’m letting you off the hook right now is because your test result came and you aced it, if not for that…I should be grounding you for always ending up in detention, can’t you for at least once not stay in detention?” Hayden reprimanded but Crystal pretended to be concentrated on the food on her plate, then decided to help add more to her little brother’s plate.
“I’m talking to you young lady” Hayden snapped right before the doorbell rang.
“I’ll get it” Crystal volunteered immediately standing to attend to whoever was at the door but she was shocked to find the same lady she was running after earlier that day at her doorsteps, this time her hood was off her head and she could properly see her face. Her sleek diamond hair was rare, heart-shaped face, turn-up nose, sand skin with neutral undertone, she was a beauty but then Crystal wondered while she was at her doorstep while staring at her intensely.
“Who’s at the door Crystal?” Violet asked slowly walking towards the door.
“Who are you and what do you want?” Crystal demanded staring at the strange lady who refused to say anything yet.
“Who are you talking to? And who in the world rang the doorbell?” Violet asked as she looked around seeing no one but Crystal instantly narrowed her face.
“There’s someone right here, standing and facing me right now…can’t you see her?” Crystal asked her mother who climbed down onto their pouch and passed through the strange lady Crystal stand staring at. Her heart hammered against her chest as she watched her mom pass through the woman again and walked back into the house.
“Who are you talking about?” Violet asked her daughter whose jaw had dropped wide open.
