I Won't Stop Seeing Her

Andrew's POV

     As I hung up the phone after making the call, my heart finally calmed down. If Camilla was to be a supernatural being, I am sure she would have heard it from the other side of the phone. I don't know what it was about her that had me smiling since I met her. I walked in and mom had noticed how happy I looked.

     "Someone had a good day today" she stated. I chuckled and nodded my head.

     "Yes, mom I did. The photos are going to come out great" I replied giving her a kiss on her cheek and heading to my room. I put my camera on my desk and changed my clothes to more comfortable ones.

     I sat on my chair and plugged the camera in the computer. Many images of the park came up and they were perfect. I could use some of these for my lecture. As I was scrolling, her photos came up. I just stared at them with such awe. I looked like a psychotic stalker following his victim, but I couldn't help but admire her. She was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

     I stayed like this for a few minutes until another call came in. It was an unknown number and after a minute of hesitation, I answered. 

    “Hello?”

    “Hello, may I speak with Andrew please?” A deep voice sounded from the other side of the phone.

    “Yes, this is Andrew. Who is speaking?”

    “My name is Mariano Villegas. Camilla’s friend. I would love to meet with you today if that’s possible. We have to talk”

    “Um...s-sure where w-would you like to m-meet” his voice and the way he talked made me nervous.

    “I’ll meet you in an hour at the same spot you met with her” he replied.

    I agreed and changed back to my clothes to meet him at the Café. I snuck out so mom didn’t ask me questions and got in my car and drove off. I arrived at the Café and my heart started beating fast again. This place lately was giving me the hibbie jibbies.

    I walked in and sat down to wait for Mariano. The same waiter from earlier approached my table. “It’s you again. What can I get for you?” He asked with disdain.

    “Nothing for now. I am waiting for someone. Thank you”

    “It must be another girl. I must warn you, don’t hurt my friend” he said.

    He walked away and I just shook my head in confusion. I didn’t know what he was talking about. I was not meeting another girl, nor was I planning on hurting Camilla. I considered her a friend even though we’ve known each other for a day.

    After almost an hour exactly, the guy from the park walked in. That must be Mariano. I stood up and we both shook hands before sitting down again.

    “So, what did you want to talk to me about?” I asked him curiously.

    “You need to get away from Camilla” he went straight to the point.

    “Why Sir?” I asked again, not understanding why he was telling me that.

    “Today her engagement party almost got canceled because she decided to spend the day with you. Her parents are not happy and her fiancé is upset as well” he replied just as the waiter was coming over.

    “Hello Mariano, how are you? Are you having anything to drink?” He asked him and Mariano ordered his coffee.

    “I will have water please” I told him and he rolled his eyes and walked away. I couldn’t do anything but laugh at his action.

    “Listen kid. The situation in her house is a little complicated, and she doesn’t need any more complications by spending time with you”

    “Sir, we just met today. And I really liked her and would love to see her again”

    “You can’t see her again son. I wish I could tell you why but you wouldn’t understand” he mentioned.

    “Oh I understand. She’s engaged, but that doesn’t mean she can’t have friends” I said with a frown on my face. I wasn’t going to let anyone tell me who to be friends with. I wanted to spend time with her and this week was going to be my chance for that before I went back to college.

    The waiter arrived with our drink orders and we decided to skip the meal. “Camilla is scared. She is scared that you find out her situation and stop wanting to see her. That is why I am begging you to stop seeing her now before she gets involved even more” he confessed.

    “I guess that will be up to her Sir. I can’t force her not to see me. And what kind of situation can she have other than marrying someone she doesn't love?” I said crossing my arms across my chest.

    “I’m doing this for your own good. Please listen to me. I heard she is going to meet you Monday night. I suggest you stop the date before it even starts” he said standing up and dropping a couple of bills to cover for his coffee.

    “I won’t stop seeing her” I said as he was walking out. He stopped and turned around.

    “Suit yourself. Just don’t tell me I didn’t warn you” and with that he was gone.

Camilla’s POV

    I was finally getting ready for the party. It was delayed due to my escaping trick. My personal maid got a dress ready for me. A black summer dress. It suited my soul as I was feeling a little dark. She did my hair in a half up, half down do. And my makeup was dark also.

    “My little girl, you should be happy. Henry is going to be a great man for you” she mentioned noticing my frown.

    “No, Dina. He is not. You guys don’t know him. He might act like a gentleman and show me love, but behind closed doors he’s totally different” I said standing up and putting my black heels on.

    “Have you talked to your parents?” She asked. 

    I shook my head. “They won’t believe me Dina. They don’t care about me. I wonder why would they hate me so much that they decide to marry me off to a man I don’t love”

    She put her hand on my cheek and they were warm and comforting. “My little girl, you are strong. I am sure you will get over this”

    “Thank you. I hope so. I just wished I had different parents that cared for me” I said while looking at myself in the mirror and noticing Dina went silent and looked down.

    “What’s wrong Dina?” I asked turning to face her.

    “Nothing my little girl. It’s just hard to see you sad” she replied.

    “I’m sorry for worrying you like that” I said grabbing her by the hand and pulling her down as we sat on my bed.

    “I met this guy today. He was so sweet and kind. I will meet him again, but I am nervous”

    She smiled and took my hand on hers. “Something tells me you like this guy” she mentioned and I nodded slowly "is he from a different clan?"

    I shook my head in a negative way. "He is human"

    She opened her eyes wide and took a deep breath. "Sweetie you know you cannot have a romantic relationship with a human. They are only good to feed. Or like us, to serve you.

    "But Dina. When he touched me, I felt sparks. I have never felt anything like it before, with any vampire. Not even with Henry" I said hoping to make her see what is going on with me.

    "If your parents find out, you know what the punishment will be right?" she asked and I nodded.

    "He is worth it. I would do anything for him. I have a feeling that he is The One. No matter if he's human"

    "But baby girl, you only just met him. And what will happen when he finds out what you are?" she said, feeling a little nervous. She was scared of my parents. Their punishments were harsh, for anyone.

    "Well, we will cross the bridge when we get there, won't we?"
