Andrew's POV
I was walking back to my car, thinking about the words that Mariano spoke to me. It just didn't make sense he would ask me to stop seeing Camilla. I just shook my head and decided to go back home when all of a sudden I feel someone drag me to an alleyway and push me against a wall.
When I looked at him, it was that waiter from the Café. "Listen to me you trash" was he insulting me? "If I were you, I would do what he said. If you keep seeing Camilla you are bound to be in a whole lot of trouble, trust me"
"W-who are you to t-tell me what t-to do?" I asked him. He looked angry and he was exuding danger.
"If you don't want to end up in a bad situation, I suggest you do as you're told," he said.
"Are you th-threatening m-me?" I asked.
"If you want to see it that way, then so be it" he replied, pushing me against the wall one more time before walking away.
I fixed my shirt and took a deep breath. I tried to compose myself. That waiter's words had me thinking. What if they were right? I should probably stop seeing her. I don't want to cause her any problems. After all she is getting married and I am sure her future husband wouldn't like her hanging around with another guy.
As I was walking to my car, I felt my body get heavy with sorrow. Like I could feel someone's sadness on my soul. It was the weirdest feeling.
I got in my car and drove home. As soon as I arrived, I noticed Camilla was there. She was sitting on my front porch and looked sad. Seeing her twice in one day was not a coincidence. Something was wrong. I was surprised my mom hadn't seen her.
"Hi Andrew," she said, standing up from the stairs and hugging herself. I walked towards the house and stood in front of her. A small smile escaped my lips. I was glad to see her, but I was wondering what she was doing here.
"Hi Camilla. What brings you to my house? How did you know where I lived?" I asked.
"Can we talk?" she said, and I could notice some fear in her eyes. I nodded and quickly opened the door for her. As we were heading into my room, my mom called from the kitchen.
"Andrew, is that you?"
"Yes, mom. I had to go run a quick errand but I am back. I will be in my room if you need anything" I yelled from the hallway and took Camilla by the hand.
We went into my bedroom and she was looking around. "This looks nice and clean," she said.
"Were you expecting a messy and stinky boy's room?" I joked and she let out a chuckle. Wow, what a beautiful sound. She turned to me and I could see those golden eyes again, but decided to ignore it. I must be going crazy to think anything of it.
"What brings you here? Shouldn't you be at your engagement party?" I asked, pulling the chair from my desk and dusting it for her to sit.
"The party is over. Everyone went to sleep, so I decided to come and visit you" she mentioned. I was shocked to hear that. Mariano and that waiter's words hit me all of a sudden.
"Camilla, I don't think you should be here. And Monday's photoshoot needs to be canceled. Something came up and I can't make it" I said. She looked at me, and I knew she was not believing me.
"But, you were looking forward to it. I will pay you well. I have some money saved and-"
"It is not about the money, Camilla. It's just that I won't be available that day. I have so much to do" I said, hoping she just stopped asking and left.
Camilla's POV
I knew he was lying by the way his heart was racing. I looked away and walked around his room to explore it further. "You have a nice room," I said as I looked at the telescope he had by the French windows.
"P-please Camilla, you have t-to leave. I d-don't want you to get in t-trouble" I noticed he was getting even more nervous. I doubted I made him feel like that so I was sure something else was going on.
"Get in trouble? I am an adult Andrew, I can do whatever I want, can't I? And Please stop stuttering. It is just me" I said and gazed at the stars through the telescope.
"You don't understand Camilla, please leave my house" the way he ordered me to leave hurt me. I thought he enjoyed my company, but maybe seeing each other twice a day was affecting him.
I walked closer to him and looked straight into his eyes. I just smiled and nodded, but as soon as I was heading out he called back.
"Wait!" I turned around and he walked to me "what is this?" he said while pulling the neck of my shirt aside and looking at the scar on my neck. Electricity ran through my body. I quickly covered it at the same time he jerked his hand away. I was sure he felt the electric shock too.
"It's nothing. I was trying to do my hair this morning and the flat iron burned me" I replied.
"You didn't have that this morning," he said putting his hands on his pocket. I tried to ignore how observant he was. I changed the subject quickly.
"So, we will meet on Monday, right?" I asked.
"You didn't tell me what you were doing here"
"Don't worry, I can tell you then. See you" I said and I don't know what came over me, but I kissed him on the cheek like I did earlier in the car and caught him by surprise making him blush. I giggled and walked out, getting in the car and driving away.
I had gone to his house to feel better. After my engagement party, I just had the urge to see him. I was being miserable, and I knew all the guests could notice how I was feeling.
But I guess I shouldn't have shown up in his house unannounced. He wasn't happy to see me. That made me a little sad. But that won't stop me from seeing him Monday night.
I arrived home and I noticed the lights on my bedroom were on. "Oh crap" I muttered, knowing they found out I was out again. This time I wouldn't be forgiven. I parked the car and our valet took my keys and went to park it in the garage as I walked into the house.
"Oh my little girl, where have you been?" Dina asked with fear in her eyes.
"I just went out for a ride, that's all" I replied but I could hear my father upstairs yelling. Dina looked at me and gave me an apologetic smile.
I went to my bedroom and mom and dad were there waiting for me. Henry was next to them with his arms across his chest and with a smirk on his face.
"Here we go again" I mumbled under my breath, but having enhanced hearing my father heard it. He walked dangerously slow towards me. My breathing was heavy, as I knew what to expect from him. As soon as he was close enough, he raised his hand and slapped me.
"Where were you?" he asked and I stayed silent. Tears were threatening to come out, but I didn't say a word. He took that as a challenge and slapped me again, this time on my other cheek.
"I am asking you, where were you?" he snarled this time. I looked up with my golden eyes.
"I was out on a ride, just like I told Dina" I replied and he took me by the arm and dragged me downstairs.
"You think I am stupid?" he yelled while we walked at a fast pace towards the library. He opened a secret door in one of the bookshelves and we walked down a set of stone stairs leading to the dungeons. He had built that to punish the vampires that dared challenge him or that did anything against the coven.
"No, dad. Please, I am sorry. Don't take me down there" I pleaded but he didn't care.
"You have been naughty. Twice in one day, and on your engagement? You need to be punished" he said showing anger on his face.
"Dad! I am begging you please, don't do it!"
He threw me in the cell and I knew what came next.
