“‘And King Enki did then smite King Laurent and took his lands in a mighty victory,’” I read aloud, bored out of my skull. “‘And when King Enki smote his enemies they did remain smote for all time.’”
The library seemed cozy enough. I especially liked a little nook between the history books and medical books. I’d found a nice little ottoman to sit on there and read. While I’d expected the history of Erupting Eclipse to be told differently by a scribe or historian from Erupting Eclipse, I had not expected just how dry these history books were. I was falling asleep sitting up, bored to tears.
I’d practically forgotten why I’d been exploring the castle in search of a library at all when I saw another shelf filled with medical books. One, I could tell, was on reproduction.
