They say there are no coincidences. They say everything happens for a reason, whether it’s stepping off a curb and breaking your ankle and then being rescued by a woman who happens to be a nurse and whose brother is the guy you’ll end up marrying someday, or it’s stalking some geek whose parents are authorities on near-death experiences and the afterlife.
It took me a while to warm up. Because even though they were very nice about it, they were still strangers who were prying into my most personal recent experience, and I wasn’t entirely sure how much I should tell them.
